Migration to cloud for secure and shared workspaces enhances productivity
There could be an end-to-end tool similar to AWS Transform that helps from assessment to migration. A single orchestrator tool could assist with discovery, implementation, and image building for Amazon WorkSpaces. O365 and other Microsoft products can become problematic at times, and there are some network health-related issues that appear occasionally regarding functionality inside Amazon WorkSpaces.

Advanced parallel ray tracing has transformed our design workflows and accelerates custom model training
I find a lot of benefits in using NVIDIA RTX 6000. For instance, there is a memory mechanism they have, similar to RAM. When we take normal EC2 instances, they always follow a waterfall mechanism, but with NVIDIA, it takes multiple requests in parallel. Due to that graphics card or memory in place, it can handle numerous requests at a time without waiting for one to complete before moving to the next. This parallel processing allows us to run multiple requests simultaneously, which is a major advantage I have observed with NVIDIA GPUs. The real-time ray tracing feature is beneficial because it acts as a cache mechanism; it does not wait and executes within a fraction of microseconds, storing a lot of data. We can apply parallel indexing, and everything is available in memory. Performance-wise, it is very good compared to a normal CPU. The high-resolution graphics from NVIDIA RTX 6000 helps our work significantly. With this GPU, we can multitask effectively; for instance, we can ask one model to write content for an email while simultaneously deriving an image based on the instructions, and also writing a social media article. This allows us to expect proper responses in a timely manner, with everything happening in parallel and delivering results in seconds.

Pros

"The product is easy to access. You can access the solution from anywhere at any time."
"Amazon WorkSpaces is very fast."
"Amazon WorkSpaces Pools is a new solution that allows a group of users to use shared workspaces."
"The best thing about Amazon WorkSpaces is the security it provides."
"They maintain it and manage it very well."
"The infrastructure is readily available, with minimal latency, which each user can benefit from."
"The best feature is that it operates very quickly. It depends on the regional location. If we choose a nearby location, nearby servers, it will be best for users to use."
"For anyone looking at the solution, I can say that it is a good solution and within well-defined price ranges, and a very scalable one."
"NVIDIA RTX Virtual Workstation has positively impacted my organization by providing two main benefits: time-saving and improved quality, allowing me to complete tasks that would take days in just hours while using different open models that update regularly."
"Performance-wise, it is very good compared to a normal CPU."
"The experience with NVIDIA RTX Virtual Workstation has been nice; even though the cost is very high, after it is in the organization, it gives a lot of good modeling outputs, so it has completely improved the experience overall."

Cons

"There is always scope of improvement in the stability."
"You cannot install external applications without doing some additional configurations inside the solution as opposed to your normal desktop or laptop."
"If they had a cheaper option for graphics pro, I think that it would be beneficial and I would use it."
"Its features for the hardware version could work faster."
"The solution lacks a shadow mode option, and it needs to have it."
"Amazon WorkSpaces needs to improve its pricing."
"One area that can be improved is the ability to install third-party apps."
"I am not satisfied with the billing part because sometimes it bills for huge usage we are not aware of when we trigger every EC2 instance or every RDS instance."
"Regarding NVIDIA RTX Virtual Workstation, I would say the licensing cost is high and deployment may require experienced IT administrators."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is based on consumption. You pay for each process based on the transactions you make."
"They have hourly and monthly pricing, and because our use case is, more of a sporadic use, so I go for hourly pricing. Again, the details of the pricing is handled by the procurement. From an end user perspective, pay as you use hourly is suitable"
"The tool's pricing depends on company turnover and the organization's relationship with Amazon. I rate it a six out of ten."
"It is very expensive."
"There are several different options available, but it can range anywhere from $85 to $150 a month per machine."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is low and ten is a high price, I rate the pricing a two."
"We need to spend some amount for the support. Without money, they won't respond."
"I think that the price can be lower. We have cases where the customer needs to have lower costs. So since we don't have options, like, shadow mode, they need to decrease pricing or have other models for reduced pricing."
