Offers customization and flexibility with great support
Scalability depends on whether the client wants to scale up or scale down. It decreases resources based on demand. The great aspect of scalability is the flexibility to allow business success to optimize resource solutions and cost efficiency. Another crucial aspect of scalability is auto-scaling. When you have the opportunity to auto-scale, it can't always be available for everything. If you have chosen to integrate with auto-scaling, it's marvellous and doesn't require additional effort. Auto-scaling gives you the edge by using the capacity you have efficiently, scaling up or down as needed. These flexibilities within the EC2 feature instances of AWS play a crucial role in helping me utilize AWS EC2 Intelligent efficiently.

Easy to manage, flexible, and has good scaling options
A partner company called Cloud40 helped us with the deployment. It took a couple of weeks for the deployment to happen. The steps we took for the deployment process included research and information planning about what we wanted to do while moving from physical to the cloud. We have used all the hardware and other resources available to make sure of the connection.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The best features of Amazon EC2 are its high performance and security."
"The product is easy to set up."
"The scalability of the solution is fantastic. It's one of our favorite features."
"What we have found most valuable is that we have not lost stability in the program."
"EC2 has helped us to deploy various Microsoft applications efficiently. It has also facilitated our workstation operations."
"The tool's performance, reliability, security and flexibility are good. We can use it remotely. The autoscaling functionality of EC2 is quite good. I appreciate the DevOps suite for tracking development tasks. This functionality is important for pure software development."
"EC2 has the typical advantages of using the cloud. It's easy to provision and set up."
"The most valuable feature of Amazon EC2 is its ability to spin a new virtual machine in a few seconds."
"I find the solution's scaling capability to be an important benefit. You can scale it vertically or horizontally, i.e., you can upgrade the hardware or clone the machine. The solution is also easy to manage and flexible. Additionally, you get some layers of security without paying for it."

Cons

"The initial setup could be easier because many keys are required for access."
"Regional acceleration could improve. If I am hosting a website and I want the experience to be faster they should have this feature to allow for increased speeds."
"Technical itself could be a bit more helpful, especially when it comes to integration assistance. When we talk to the technical team, often it's some issue with integration and they'll tell us to talk to the other company. Often, the other company will look at everything and not see an issue from their end and then we are at an impasse."
"The GUI used to deploy EC2 must be improved."
"The solution is pretty expensive."
"EC2 could be improved with easier migration."
"Current inability to change the resource service levels."
"They can build automatic features for ENSS or network drive. They have the Control-M feature. Similarly, they should have a feature for the network drive that can be mapped. I have not seen such a feature. They have a lot of products but those are quite costly. There is no cheaper option available for the EC2 instance for syncing two drives. If these features are available, it would be good."
"I have two areas of improvement to comment on. Most of the product names in AWS are not indicative of what they are doing. Moreover, AWS is not organized and you do not have the full platform with you. It is hard to know some AWS services."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"EC2 pricing is somewhat transparent, in that AWS provides pricing for all instance types. However, the number of pricing options can be confusing."
"The price of Amazon EC2 could improve. The Google Cloud Platform is more cost-effective."
"You pay as you use it."
"It's competitive but can vary based on instance types and usage patterns."
"I use the free tier, although I have paid for some services that are not free. The overall cost of this solution depends on the services you use."
"The pricing of this solution is variable. There is an open-source variant that is accessible via the public cloud, and then tiers that range in price depending on the level and amount of usage that is required."
"It is not an expensive solution."
"The clients have found the billing of Amazon EC2 good, but the price could be less high. There is a monthly subscription to use the solution."
"I find the solution's pricing reasonable. You need to pay extra for IP and other miscellaneous costs."
