Automated complex ETL workflows have reduced coding effort and improved data integration
One area for improvement is in integrating mostly the data which comes from telemetry, where I can see some sort of improvisations can be made. It is a massive amount of unstructured data, and I believe Alteryx is able to handle it, but there can be some improvements. Suggestions for improvements in Alteryx include areas for increasing efficiency, particularly in processing telemetry data, which involves dealing with large volumes of unstructured data. Additionally, I believe when we use filter tools immediately after the input source, there can be slowdowns when handling massive data. The user experience of Alteryx is generally good, but there are areas for improvement from a user's perspective, particularly regarding user interface enhancements. I think there's always room for improvement, but otherwise, Alteryx has been a great tool for me. We haven't experienced significant disruptions while increasing data volumes, though I sense there could be performance issues as data grows exponentially. This is an area that could use improvement in Alteryx.

Reliable unblocking services have supported seamless access to protected web pages
The main use case for me is utilizing Bright Data's unblocking services that allow me to receive the whole protected web page via a simple API call. It is quite easy to use and reliable, which is important for large businesses. This is valuable to my organization as it is one of the main proxy providers I use in my projects and in client projects, wherever possible.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The filtering is fast, and it provides a search tool that is great."
"Alteryx offers a cognitive approach to better understand data and purposes."
"Geo features have made spatial mapping large retail universes possible."
"It has certainly paid for itself on a per-user basis."
"The initial setup is easy, straightforward, and simple, and within hours I can have the designer up and running."
"Alteryx has made us more agile and increased the speed and effectiveness of decision making."
"Although Alteryx is a paid software, it is equally able to provide better performance without writing a single line of code."
"The drag and drop and layout is simple to understand, with intuitive names of features."
"It offers features tailored to various project sizes and requirements, making it suitable for both small—and large-scale data scraping needs."
"The solution's most valuable feature is the Proxy feature."
"You need to set it up properly, and it does most of the work for you."
"I think Bright Data is one of the best tools in the market. I've tested many, but Bright Data doesn't have much downtime. It's very fast compared to other proxy providers. Speed is their main USP, which is what they're selling it for. They're also good with security. The signal remains the same if something goes wrong with our internet connections or laptops. It doesn't affect the profiles or other things we're using. It just cuts off the internet connection directly. That's one of the best use cases."
"The platform is scalable and works well with large projects. I have not experienced any issues with scalability."
"The most valuable feature of Bright Data is its proxy server, which effectively mimics real human behavior, avoiding complex navigation in the browser and reducing server load during scraping. This makes it easier to scrape data sets."
"The solution's most valuable feature is that it allows me to bypass proxy, IP, CAPTCHA, and everything else."
"The response time was fast, even when we had to run thousands of requests."

Cons

"Pricing flexibility can be better, especially for small teams and organizations, as the current licensing cost can be a barrier for wider adoption."
"Alteryx's development environment could be improved as it requires installation locally and can't be developed in the cloud."
"There could be a bit of improvement related to performance. Sometimes it demands a lot of resources for running it, like memory and search."
"It is expensive to buy additional licensing, and it is time and resource consuming to install onto our own hardware — which itself requires maintenance and administrative attention."
"The product pricing is a concern. I use Alteryx because my company provides it, but it would be too expensive if I had to pay for it myself."
"The data integration component could most likely be improved to increase enterprise scalability."
"Alteryx could be improved in the area of analytics and central governance."
"There are no ready models to use in analytics."
"The dashboard was a bit too technical, and even with my technical experience, I had a hard time."
"Bright Data could improve its user interface and dashboard to make it more user-friendly. I found it confusing and hard to navigate initially, and even after using it for three months, I still struggle sometimes to find what I need. It would be helpful if they could enhance the presentation and organization of their dashboard to make it easier for users like me to access and manage data effectively. Learning to use Bright Data may take a few days due to its current usability challenges, but it's manageable. However, realizing its full capabilities might take longer due to navigation difficulties and lack of clarity in data presentation."
"Bright Data could significantly improve its support service. There are many tensions every time something occurs, although this doesn't happen frequently."
"The Datasheet API has unclear documentation."
"I think Bright Data and the tools within its catalog are still unpopular. Earlier, I did not know that Bright Data had a web scraping browser."
"The solution's proxy selection process needs improvement. Incorporating country-specific proxies would be beneficial."
"The solution's documentation and initial setup are longer than they should be."
"The problem with the tool is that it is not big enough...It is not that user-friendly."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost of Alteryx is approximately $2,900 annually."
"In order to have designers, and, if you want to collaborate, you have to buy a server. If the designer is $5,000, and if you want a server, you have to pay $80,000."
"While it offers extensive features, including predictive analytics, for those who mainly use it for data preparation and blending, the cost can be prohibitive."
"In my opinion, it's actually quite expensive."
"The designer has a list price of $5,995 USD."
"The license price of the solution is expensive."
"My organization pays for it, and I do not look into the financial aspect of the licensing, but I know it is pretty expensive."
"It has a good price."
"The product pricing is reasonable for its features."
"Compared to other proxy servers, Bright Data's pricing is quite reasonable. I"
"I don’t think the solution’s pricing is expensive."
"Bright Data is not an expensive tool compared to its competitors."
"I think the pricing is fair, if it is used in a business. The pricing model might need some adjustments if I am using it for a personal purpose, especially if I use it for a month or two."
"Regarding pricing, we paid about 1000 dollars monthly for Bright Data. We started with their pay-as-you-go plan, which was expensive as we were charged per GB. Then we moved to the 500 dollar package, then the 1000 dollar package. We considered the 2000 dollar package they introduced recently."
"I got a type of free access, but it was through a referral from my friend. I got some credits free from the tool's end."
"The product has average pricing."
