Have successfully routed high-volume application traffic through secure channels and maintain compliance across client environments
CDN capability is what I appreciate about Akamai Secure Internet Access Enterprise. It protects applications that are internet-facing or public-facing. Akamai Secure Internet Access Enterprise is a product which has very good features and capabilities. I have worked on Radware also, but Radware has some limited capabilities. Akamai Secure Internet Access Enterprise has positively impacted my organization. We have around 62 applications within our firm which are now routing traffic through Akamai Secure Internet Access Enterprise. It has fewer false positives, which is something we haven't encountered yet. I assess the impact of Akamai's real-time threat filtering as 10 out of 10, and I am satisfied with this feature.

Replaces internal DNS servers effectively with strong support for network security
For users not already working with Infoblox, it is advisable to present it as a centralized integrated solution to handle DNS IPAM. Not all customers understand DNS security threats, so emphasizing its importance is crucial. On a scale of one to ten, I rate Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection as ten for the overall solution.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The best feature of Akamai SPS Threat Avert is that it's very user-friendly compared to other technologies."
"Akamai Secure Internet Access Enterprise is a product which has very good features and capabilities."
"The solution helps to identify and mitigate DNS attacks."
"Infoblox's render scalability and technical support for the DNAT firewalling adaptation are seen as top benefits."
"Infoblox is a DDI solution that offers more than just DNS security, providing unique protection for IT management and DSCP."
"I rate Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection as ten for the overall solution."
"Infoblox offers granularity and advanced DNS protection to mitigate DNS attacks. It's a very secure solution."
"Grid high availability technology ensured network reliability, resilient network services, failover, recovery, and seamless maintenance."
"The most valuable features of Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection are the services, DHCP, and debugging. Additionally, we can use APIs and ansible scripts."
"The security of the solution is perfect. It's very good at protecting us from attacks."

Cons

"Their support response time needs improvement. They take on average one week to respond, which is not satisfactory given how critical applications are to the organization."
"Akamai SPS Threat Avert's pricing could be improved because it's a very expensive enterprise solution."
"I think only the technical documentation and administration of box could be a little bit improved."
"They are not supporting high query logging. They have a very limited size for the syslog, so they are usually asking for external storage, external network, and integration in order to keep the syslog. If you are considering the high volume traffic of the carrier-grade, then the syslog will hold for around five to 10 minutes. This is not enough time and it is being rotated. This is the main issue and the main limitation that we face with them that they need to work on."
"There is a steep learning curve to be able to use Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection well."
"The solution's logging could be improved."
"The service monitoring information could be simplified of this appliance and the information displayed on the dashboards could be improved. I have not found one dashboard to be perfect. For example, in Splunk, I can create a dashboard in Grafana. However, in Grafana, it takes a very long time to create them. There should be another API to do it better."
"There needs to be more capabilities in order to configure the console itself instead of the user interface dashboard. Configuring the DNS or DHCP through the console instead of the GUI dashboard would be better."
"The overall pricing of Infoblox is high, particularly for the Bangladesh market, and the licensing model is challenging."
"Infoblox DNS is much more expensive than DNSSEC, which is offered by other vendors. Customers should consider the cost of DNSSEC since it is a significant factor."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Provided the features Akamai SPS Threat Avert provides, it is bound to be expensive."
"I am not sure about the price of the solution, but I heard it is expensive."
"Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection is a little more expensive than other vendors."
"There are no additional costs to the standard licensing price of the solution."
"The price of Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection could be reduced, it is expensive."
"The solution is expensive."
