What is our primary use case?

WebLogic Suite is currently used in our infrastructure for core banking systems, internet banking, and other in-house applications. It is considered stable and fine for our needs.

What is most valuable?

One of the most valuable features of WebLogic Suite is its integration with JMS services and queue services. We are planning to migrate to an API-based application structure. We use the JMS and queue mechanism, requiring optimization to handle performance challenges related to upscaling load, application load, and end-user demands. Continuous monitoring and evaluation are necessary to optimize MQs, JMS, and JVM elements related to WebLogic Suite.

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use WebLogic Suite as a stable application server. Although we previously utilized more capabilities, we have reduced our usage. We don't use it for access control functions like setting groups and entitlements anymore.

How has it helped my organization?

There have been no notable operational impacts apart from its stability.

Robust, scalable, can be deployed faster, and provides excellent technical support

"What I've been seeing as the most valuable characteristics of WebLogic Suite include robustness and scalability. It's a really good solution, and I'm not saying this because my company is a partner of WebLogic Suite. I also like that with the newer versions of the solution, you can deploy WebLogic Suite faster. Oracle also provides excellent technical support."

"I noticed a few areas for improvement in WebLogic Suite. If you use the pure play higher-availability features, then yes, it can be switched over to the other system from the high-availability point of view, but that comes with a certain price. If you prefer simpler high-availability, that requires manual intervention. I'd also recommend a tuning feature in WebLogic Suite because it's not self-tuning, and this means you need thorough expertise to do the tuning and leverage the best benefit out of it. If Oracle makes WebLogic Suite automated or self-driven, then it becomes a wonderful product, similar to what Oracle did for the Autonomous Database which is self-driven or has an autonomous operating system. If automation is added in the next release of the solution, combined with more affordable pricing, though as a technical person, I know how much goes into having automation as a feature, and it could be difficult to lower the price, but if Oracle can do it, then that would make WebLogic Suite better."

What is our primary use case?

We have two sets of use cases for WebLogic Suite. There are customers who use the solution with Oracle COTS Applications which are Oracle built applications and are based on the Oracle Database, and they use WebLogic Suite as a web server.

Other customers use the solution for their homegrown or third-party applications. They develop their own Java applications and deploy those applications on the WebLogic Suite server, so they use the solution both as an application server and web server, making the solution applicable for any type of business purpose. for example, small applications for attendance, swiping, biometric, etc., and hosting those applications to the core enterprise applications, or even the technological applications. WebLogic Suite can host and support all those applications.

What is most valuable?

What I've been seeing as the most valuable characteristics of WebLogic Suite include robustness and scalability. It's a really good solution, and I'm not saying this because my company is a partner of WebLogic Suite.

I also like that with the newer versions of the solution, you can deploy WebLogic Suite faster.

Oracle also provides excellent technical support.

Simple setup, reliable, and performs well

Our organization uses Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for managing our operations and deployments. We also utilize WebLogic and ADF in conjunction with ODI.

We utilize WebLogic to deploy all of our web-based programs using Java and all of our Oracle web services.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of WebLogic is it has excellent performance and stability compared to the previous solution we used.

Ease of scalability through both assymetric and symmetric clustering; ease of integration with existing and potential future Oracle product technologies; leverages many industry-standard technologies for application support (JSON, REST, SOA, JavaBeans, J2EE; continues to evolve towards a fully-integrated solution designed to front-end enterprise applications whether related to transactional websites, dynamic content management solutions, or acting as an intermediary service provider between other web/URI data sources.

How has it helped my organization?

Support custom developed mobile applications while retaining middleware compatibility with other on-premise Oracle systems such as AP Imaging, eBusiness Suite 12.2, and SOA Suite.

How has it helped my organization?

A lot of times customers really have to consider 'do I want to use a solution like WebLogic or do I want to look at an opensource solution and what kind of app server container do I want to begin to look at.' Some of the great features that we see with WebLogic is obviously it's coming from an Oracle brand so you're going to have a lot of good support when it comes to that.

That could be product support when there's issues, implementation support or whatever the case may be. We always know that Oracle is going to be putting out a lot of new features and stay in somewhat close to where the industry is going as far as getting their features out the door. Some of the other great features in addition to application development is doing content management because obviously in the Oracle WebCenter Suite which is part of the Oracle WebLogic Suite you can begin to do things like building portals, building contact management, building collaborative integrations to social and cloud and whatever the case may be.
