If through a vendor team, how would you rate their level of expertise? - In-house implementation What is your ROI on this product? - 1st year ROI for 1 location was $ 940K What was your original setup cost for this product and what is your day-to-day cost of using this product? - Total project to include software, training, hardware was $ 100K, day to day cost is $ 0.00 …. Annual support agreement and licensing is the only cost What advice would you give to others looking into implementing this product? - Make the decision and DO it!

In the February 2012 Magic Quadrant report, Gartner cautions that "LogiXML is in the cross hairs of competing low-cost alternatives from open-source vendors and Microsoft". Additionally, although they have recently received new funding, they still have more limited resources than other BI vendors. For how long have you used this product? - 18 Months Which features of this product are most valuable to you? - Speed and flexibility of development, speed of deployment, licencing model Can you give an example of how this product has improved the way your organization functions? - Data delivery to our clients now far faster and clients have far more flexible access to data What areas of this product have room for improvement? - Performance on large data sets is far better on V11 but still some areas for improvement Did you encounter any issues with deployment, stability or scalability? - Scalability on previous versions became an issue – V11 has gone a long way towards addressing this. Did you previously use a different solution and if so, why did you switch? - No – first BI toolset deployed in this organisation. Before choosing this product, did you evaluate other options? If so, which ones? - Evaluated Qlikview, Tableau and Cognos. How would you rate the level of customer service and technical support? - Very good. Support responsive and very knowledgeable. Was the initial setup straightforward or complex? In what ways? - Relatively straightforward for the toolset. Significant data cleansing required before results acceptable. Did you implement through a vendor team or an in-house one? If through a vendor team, how would you rate their level of expertise? - In-house deployment What is your ROI on this product? - Unable to comment – not involved in ROI calculation/measurement What advice would you give to others looking into implementing this product? - Have access to a very good DBA/query writer for your chosen database – it will be essential to get the best from the product.
