Reviews from Real Users
Aruba Switches are cutting-edge network creation tools that stand out among their competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are the warranty that guarantees them and the intuitive way in which they are designed. Aruba Switches are protected by lifetime warranties. If a switch malfunctions or is rendered inoperable, it can be quickly replaced. If the line of switches are still available, HPE will send the user the necessary replacement. Aruba Switches are built to be intuitive for users to customize and manipulate. This allows users to make full use of the solution without requiring them to devote a significant level of resources to training.
The head of technical support at a real estate law firm writes, “One valuable feature about HP is the warranty. All switches are very similar when it comes to most functionalities. Most switches provide a one-year warranty, but with HPE switches, if there's a unit that malfunctions, we call them and they replace it the next business day if that line is still available. We had a switch we reported the other day, it was a 25-10, which we procured way back, around 2014, and they replaced it. In general, HP provides a lot of support for its products. We will be doing some tinkering on the VLAN soon, first the layer two, and then connecting the layer three functionalities for some other departments. The advantage of Aruba compared to other switches is their reliability. If the product is trustworthy, I'll continue to use it.”
A network systems engineer at a financial services firm writes, “Their technical support is great. I have used Cisco products, and as compared to Cisco, Aruba's command-line syntax is not as complex. The command-line interface of Aruba switches is quite intuitive. It also has a graphical user interface. With Cisco, using the graphical user interface for configuration can be complex, whereas Aruba simplifies it, and you can easily use the graphical user interface. The configuration is secured. Their graphical user interface is quite robust.”

Chief Executive Officer at Talinda East Africa | 4.5 | We deploy Aruba Switches in hotels for Wi-Fi and IPTV, valuing IGMP 3 and the modular 5406 core switch. Distribution issues and expensive SFP modules need improvement. We've experienced cost savings despite using other vendors like Meraki when necessary. |
CTO at a tech services company with 1,001-5,000 employees | 3.5 | I find Aruba switches, particularly the CX 6200, valuable for my business due to their zero-touch provisioning and compatibility with our warranty structure. While slightly expensive, they are more affordable than Cisco. Improvements could include more detailed debugging features. |
Head Of ELV and ICT at Intec Systems Solution Pvt Ltd | 4.0 | I use Aruba Switches in Sri Lanka for their flexibility, reliability, and affordability, suitable for SMB and enterprise levels. Valuable features include compatibility, security, and a lifetime warranty. Competing mainly with Cisco, I have no significant improvement suggestions. |
Sales Engineer at SGE | 3.5 | I use Aruba Switches personally and for clients due to their durability and scalability, offering solutions from entry-level to high-end. While reliable, their pricing is a drawback, with Huawei as a lower-cost alternative. |
Infrastructure Administrator - Server, Storage & Virtualization at MicroAccess Ltd | 4.0 | We use Aruba Switches for user network access, finding value in their numerous ports and quick boot-up times compared to Cisco. However, the reset process is cumbersome, and configurations can be challenging for those used to other systems. |
IT Infrastructure Manager at Armada Group | 4.0 | We've used Aruba Switches for five years in our retail stores across the GCC, finding them cost-effective and easy to manage remotely, though we face delays and added costs during setup due to limited admin access. |
Technology supervisor at a non-profit with 1-10 employees | 4.0 | I used Aruba Switches for a system deployment in Lima, Peru, for a sports facility and the National Bank nearly four years ago. The security features are excellent, but more local training centers would improve the experience. |
Owner at SiT Global GmbH | 4.0 | I find Aruba Switches reliable, with valuable features like customizable ASICs and excellent documentation. While minor web interface improvements are needed, convincing customers to switch from other brands like Cisco can be challenging without strategic timing and solid arguments. |
