• Management Pack authoring within a large enterprise environment having diverse monitoring requirements. Tuning management packs, Exchange 2010, HP, SQL, SNMP, Linux and others.
• Designing, documenting, developing, and testing of MPs adhering to a strict MP Lifecycle and change management methodology. Consultation for peers in methodology and best practice.
• Developing monitors, rules, discoveries, diagnostic and/or recovery tasks, and views using optimal targeting methods, health model construction and knowledge of the SCOM service model and its usage (classes, relationships, referenced classes)
• Advanced knowledge of module types including data sources, probe actions, and write actions
• Usage of consoles (Authoring, Operations), XML (work with MPs’ XML), Vbscript and PowerShell and Silect MP Studio for audit trail and version control.
• Disciplined testing procedures, testing of all core updates in lab before push to prod.
