There is room for improvement in BigPanda, and I believe they are fixing this. Agentic operations exist in these types of tools, and companies are catching up. Logic Monitor has a slightly different and better version of agentic AI. BigPanda has that on their roadmap, and I saw their kickoff where they explained what they are doing to enhance it. I believe that by the end of this year, improvements will be in place.

It would be beneficial for BigPanda to offer detailed error descriptions similar to what AppDynamics and ThousandEyes ( /products/thousandeyes-reviews ) provide. Currently, I can only add notes and notify the L2 team, but having more precise error data in BigPanda would enable me to resolve issues more quickly and efficiently.

The key feature that requires improvement is AI integration. If BigPanda could integrate AI, it would enhance the platform significantly by offering chatbot functionality within the BigPanda UI. This would help end users understand alert enrichment, configurations, alert noise, alert behavior, and alert statistics.
BigPanda ( /products/bigpanda-reviews ) sometimes creates false incidents and workarounds, causing financial disturbances because we pay for each incident. These false incidents can lead the whole team to focus on them only to find out it was a glitch. A 'deep dive' analysis feature would be appreciated to give detailed insights such as CPU usage and disk space analysis. Improved accuracy in alert generation would also be beneficial.

BigPanda could improve by syncing its threshold settings with Dynatrace to align with users' familiarity. This would reduce manual effort in analyzing alerts. Automation is needed to distinguish real incidents from false alarms. Additionally, better synchronization with configuration management for server status updates is necessary. Currently, the system is evolving, requiring time to stabilize, given the newness of the tools and technologies being adopted.
We'd like to see additional dashboard features included as part of the solution. What we currently have doesn't show if there is any utilization and how much memory is there.

BigPanda can improve the correlations. We didn't see any big value. It is still good at the same event deduplication, event processing, and ticket creation, but I was more looking at event analysis and event correlation. In that area, it is still no big difference between the other solutions on the market. All of them, are in the same immature stage.
Honestly, all areas can use major improvement. We wanted a 'one-stop-shop' for event monitoring, visualization, and infrastructure DevOps with AI. BigPanda attempts a little of everything and fails at most. The AI, in particular, was worthless, the visualization primitive and not configurable.
The observability can be enriched with regards to infrastructure and the application-integrated environment. The dashboard and reports could be improved. A more integrated multi-cloud environment with regards to Azure, Amazon, Google, and the on-prem solution would be a big advantage.

The usability needs to improve because it is a pure code environment. It would be good if they could have a pre-designed code like the new tools that are in the market now. UiPath, for example, offers drag and drop. If this feature can be added, I think it will be a breakthrough. It will completely change the solution and attract even seasonal coders and make it more valuable.
