I generated the report for SAP Signavio products. The implementation was done by our organization, though I'm not sure if they were external people or from AWS Direct Connect. As an end user, I cannot set it up myself. I am not the best person to provide advice because I'm not a buyer persona. I'm just a user persona and not a decision-maker on buying it. I don't know exactly what criteria I should look at. I'm a student, not a researcher. On a scale of 1-10, I rate AWS Direct Connect a seven.
We are planning to work with an Active Directory in the near future, but at this moment, we don't have this functionality. We are using EBS and EIPs. We have the servers, space, EBS, IPs, Route 53. We are using a VPN connection where AWS provides a configuration file, which we download to our routers. It is a connection used by the internet through a public link. We are using an enterprise VPN for a public link, not AWS Direct Connect. We are using DrayTek routers. I rate this solution a 10 out of 10 because we have high availability and good response time.

For first-time users of AWS Direct Connect, I would highlight all its advantages, including hybrid cloud connectivity, minimal latency, cost-effectiveness, robust security, multi-region cloud connectivity, and ease of migration and data replication. Overall, I rate the solution ten out of ten.
For new users with on-premise infrastructure looking to migrate or implement services on AWS, starting with AWS Direct Connect is crucial as it provides reliable connectivity. I would rate AWS Direct Connect a ten out of ten.
If the requirement is low latency, then Direct Connect is pretty stable. If the requirement is not low latency, then VPN Connect, site-to-site VPN, is a good choice. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.
Find out what your peers are saying about Amazon Web Services (AWS), Palo Alto Networks, Lumen Technologies and others in Enterprise Infrastructure VPN. Updated: August 2025.
In our experience, AWS offers a robust portfolio of AI services that cater to a wide range of needs. They provide two primary AI services, which are quite comprehensive and deeply integrated. AWS provides many options and functionalities for those looking to leverage AI, especially for complex applications like chain AI. Comparing AWS with Azure, the choice largely depends on specific use cases and organizational requirements. We've found AWS particularly strong in generative AI and other advanced AI capabilities, which are crucial for our security and monitoring needs. It's essential to assess these factors carefully to ensure the chosen platform aligns effectively with your AI deployment goals and operational strategies. I rate it a seven out of ten.
Sometimes, we face problems in creating a setup or installing AWS Direct Connect. We select a Direct Connect gateway, then create a Direct Connect gateway, then attach the gateway with the VPC, and create a customer gateway. Sometimes, it creates an issue, but we completely create and install the solution. I would recommend the solution to other users. AWS Direct Connect provides a dedicated physical network connection. After establishing a physical connection, we can create a virtual interface to connect to our virtual private cloud in AWS. We provide private network connectivity for accessing resources within our VPC. We can configure the solution to create a hybrid network that combines the private connectivity of AWS Direct Connect with the flexibility of a VPN connection. It is useful where redundancy and failover are critical. Overall, I rate the solution ten out of ten.
