Veritas Volume Replicator [EOL] Reviews

The ability to replicate volumes between sans with a few commands, this made server migrations easy. We also have little tolerance for down time and being able to do operations on line, including replicating production data enabled us to perform many changes and migrations with little production downtime.

It was our DR solution for Oracle databases for 7 years.

Slow GUI on remote sites. We had issues when some config changes had to be done in remote data centers.

Setup is straight forward. There are definitely some settings that might be missed when using this product, but once parameters have been determined set up is the same.

We implemented through a vendor team. Their level of expertise was outstanding. After a few vendor implementation our own in house team supported the product and did subsequent implementations.

Most of the Veritas product have reached maturity and saturation point for any further development, especially when it comes to Volume Manager.
