Customization options need improvement but valuable threat management features and reasonable pricing benefit service providers
We are a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), and we provide services to our customers Seceon Open Threat Management Platform offers valuable features such as XDR and EDR. I also find the SOC and SOAR features valuable. Log management is another key functionality of the product. There are…

Automation has reduced workload and real-time monitoring provides faster incident response
SentinelOne Singularity AI SIEM is the best, but sometimes the dashboards are a little simple compared to other tools. The custom dashboard is not available in their features. Therefore, I would suggest adding the custom dashboard for any of our requirements. The AI-driven analytics from SentinelOne Singularity AI SIEM has not affected our ability to reduce false positives. SentinelOne Singularity AI SIEM has affected my SOC's efficiency in investigating alerts and responding to incidents. If we receive any alerts, we can observe what activity is being done. We can see if it is malicious or something suspicious, or a true positive. We can analyze the path, the hash, and whether the signature is verified or not. We can see if it is an alert triggered by any engine. We can see the source of this. We will do that type of analysis and raise it to the client side. Also, if I identify anything suspicious or malicious in the alert, I will forcefully kill and quarantine it immediately.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"If we compare the solution with other SIEM solutions that are also turning to artificial intelligence, this will be the number one choice."
"You can use different solutions in a single platform which is very easy and attractive for customers."
"We only recently started using Seceon, so we aren't taking advantage of all its features yet. We have enabled some proactive alerts about utilization and bottlenecks from high traffic."
"The most valuable features are behaviour analytics, threat intelligence, endpoint detection, and response features."
"I like that it's an AI-based platform. The most valuable feature is that it's a comprehensive solution. Most tools in the marketplace are comprised of miscellaneous items. They fail to provide real-time remediation features. However, with Seceon Open Threat Management Platform, anything you can think of in cybersecurity, like auto-remediation, real-time response, and even on-premise components, is available in a single platform. So, it's perfect for finance and healthcare who don't want to share their data with a third party like the cloud. You can have this on-premise as well. So, the expenditure will be lower as less human intervention is required."
"The algorithm used in Seceon OTM is clear and logical, categorizing events as needed. This helps us identify and respond to threats effectively."
"It is effective because it has threat intelligence from across the world and constantly checks and updates for new threats."
"The solution is stable."
"I have experienced no issues with SentinelOne Singularity AI SIEM; it is the best product I have ever used, very stable, handy, easy to manage, and excellent with its AI-driven capabilities."
"SentinelOne Singularity AI SIEM has impacted my organization positively because I am observing some improvement, including real-time monitoring and real-time threat detection that help secure both our and the client's organization from anything suspicious or any malicious types of alerts."
"After using SentinelOne Singularity AI SIEM, it has reduced our incident response time by forty to fifty percent compared to other tools."
"The best features of SentinelOne Singularity AI SIEM include its user-friendly interface, ease of deployment, and ease of use, and it is also easy to control the devices, as we block USB on all machines, export the configuration of machines, and have very good visibility of the instance with excellent reports."
"SentinelOne Singularity AI SIEM's AI-powered analytics does affect our SOC's ability to reduce false positives; that is one of the biggest advantages because the manpower that I have is limited."
"With the help of this tool, the response time to sophisticated threats has improved significantly, and it recently cuts the MTTR time using Purple AI by 40%."
"Overall, I would assess the overall security posture after implementing SentinelOne Singularity AI SIEM as significantly better."
"I will strongly recommend this, because after SentinelOne Singularity AI SIEM we have reduced our engineering time to a certain degree as it has helped us to do investigations fast, we get actual alerts that matter and can prioritize them properly, and the monitoring capability is now completely in one single platform so we do not have to go here and there, which has given us good ROI in total."

Cons

"The product could be improved by including sandboxing capabilities in the next release."
"It would be ideal with the processing was more manageable. Not many customers are willing to have a dedicated server with two CPUs and one TB of memory. The cost of this is huge for a smaller organization."
"The dashboard has always been an issue."
"We are at the client’s end, offering services. They don’t know about security rules and benchmarks. We are working on the discovery and remediation but we don’t really have the intelligence that was available while working with other tools. Human working is also very essential for the solution. The automatic session is impossible to play since it needs to touch Redfin for further analysis. No one has breached our clients."
"The management console could use some enhancements."
"Certain features, such as DLP, need to be improved as they are superficial and not in-depth."
"It needs more compatibility for co-managed solutions."
"It would be ideal with the processing was more manageable."
"SentinelOne Singularity AI SIEM can improve in the area of XDR, especially in the integration between SentinelOne and other solutions and components in the network, as it was not working well with the Fortinet firewall."
"It is quite good, but the only downside is that it is costly."
"There is room for improvement when it comes to the technical support quality and expertise of SentinelOne. Sometimes, the technical support team does not know how to resolve certain issues and takes time to respond, often requiring follow-up interactions within 24 hours."
"SentinelOne Singularity AI SIEM is a strong platform, but there are a few areas where it could be improved."
"I would want the false positive ratio to be lower and would want to improve that aspect so the true will be more, and the false will be lesser."
"Another area for improvement is that the product is somewhat expensive. Pricing could be improved as well."
"Customer support could be better because it is frequently transferred to various agents."
"At the moment, I feel the pricing is a little bit on the higher side, but the tool is positioned in a place where risk is very high, and we do not want to take chances, so we are prepared to pay the premium."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It has a per-asset model instead of an ingestion-based model, which gives predictable pricing. In terms of price, it is in the middle to lower range of SIEMs that it competes against. It is the most affordable solution that we have implemented so far. It was much more affordable than anything else I've implemented."
"The solution is cheap and very competitive. It offers good tuning in terms of the pricing. Other solutions like Palo Alto and IBM are more expensive."
"The price is quite reasonable."
"We used the solution's trial version for two months and later purchased it."
"I find Seceon OTM's pricing to be reasonable, not too high or low, just okay for the market standards. I can't disclose specific figures, we pay on a quarterly basis under a service model. I would rate it eight out of ten. As a customer, I always hope for better pricing options."
"Seceon Open Threat Management Platform is cost-effective because it's a comprehensive platform that offers high availability."
"The pricing is very competitive. It's not expensive."
