Behavioral AI has protected critical applications and now blocks complex external attacks
I think Salt Security could improve their implementations. The one that I saw was very complex and took quite a bit of time, and if the environment is unique at all, it takes quite a bit of time to figure out how to properly ensure that it will be implemented. A lot of times there is a steep learning curve for someone that hasn't been in it to figure out the APIs and really dig deep into it, but once you get used to it, it is easy. However, that ramp-up period could be tough. I think Salt Security could use a more enterprise focus. Some of the smaller companies that I have referred them to think it is a little bit too complex for them, so if they could come up with a different version or something a little bit easier to simplify their platform, they may be able to find more customers that way.

Building full applications has become faster and deployment automation is saving me weeks
The updates that v0 has added in its policies and terms and conditions were needed because v0 used to push directly into the main branch, which was not good. The service has now improved, making a separate branch and generating a pull request that the repo owner has to accept before the changes get put to the main production branch. However, this poses complications for older projects that are already hosted on v0, as they now need to configure and update their whole structure due to the change in branch pushing methodology. The build errors can actually give a big headache to the developer because v0 has no way to resolve them. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate v0 overall in a very favorable way while stating it should allow developers to push code to the main branch directly and not allow v0 to push to the main branch. v0 has helped me a lot, and I would give it a score of eight because it still needs some improvement and could go a good way. I feel more confident about free features, making it a big help for developers due to many options available in the market now. I chose eight out of ten because it is really good, offering a big free tier with a huge one million requests on its Hobby tier which can actually make an application live for about more than a year or two if it has minimal traffic, as one million requests is too much for a very beginner-friendly project. I deducted two points because it does not allow me in a few projects to push directly to the main branch as my GitHub CI/CD does not permit it, and Vercel revokes the chunk of code I'm pushing, stating I no longer have the authority, which is a really bad bug needing improvement. Additionally, the Hobby tier does not recharge each month, which is also a downside.

Pros

"It's really great. I would rate the stability a nine out of ten. I haven't encountered any instability issues."
"Salt Security gave me much better visibility into API risk, helping me identify exposed endpoints, misconfigured APIs, and sensitive data flowing through APIs that required additional controls, and it has become an important part of my API security program."
"Salt Security gives you visibility of all your APIs, identifies API security issues, and immediately alerts you of attacks."
"Salt Security has positively impacted my organization and my client's organization by being able to stop cyberattacks and ensure that they have proper security over all their applications, giving them a sense of peace of mind that they have security over something that could ultimately take down the whole company if not mitigated properly."
"v0's scalability is very good, as it can handle growth and larger projects easily."
"v0 has positively impacted my organization with significant time-saving."
"The best thing about v0 in my experience would be its integration with Shadcn UI."
"Now that v0 is here, I can easily prototype any existing design or screens using the Import from Figma option or create a new prototype of any flow if I want to, which really makes my whole workflow very efficient and speedy, making it easy for me to present it to stakeholders for decision-making."
"v0 has helped me significantly in those projects, saving a lot of my time and energy, and providing the best solutions that are very useful for me as a beginner who is still learning modern front-end structure."
"From four weeks to showing the idea with code and prototyping, it can be done within three or four days."
"For me, the best feature of v0 is essentially the integration that it has with Next.js and the front-end libraries that Next.js uses because it makes it really easy to build websites which look good and unlike some other tools."
"For instance, time has been saved as I mentioned before, with tasks completed in 35 minutes instead of eight hours, and on the financial aspect, I can earn between $1,000 to $2,000 by spending $20 on v0."

Cons

"Regarding scalability, for users in smaller environments, it is not exactly the best."
"The setup cost was acceptable, but adding additional APIs was actually quite expensive."
"The integration part could be a bit extended."
"However, it would be beneficial to introduce pricing points for unlimited credits, which would ease token management and provide better pricing options."
"I chose 8.5 for v0 mainly because the option to drag different elements across the screen would be the first option I suggest."
"While v0 can instantly prototype everything about the frontend, the major drawback is it doesn't offer a lot of backend capabilities."
"v0 could be improved because it does not provide a full app generator; it only provides front-end UI. Sometimes we need to do cleanup and change code, and sometimes there is limited complex logic so we need to do manual coding and make design changes."
"I notice that when I have reached 100 prompts, v0 gets slow, so it should create a new chat, retaining all the knowledge from my previous conversation, which would prevent me from feeling forced to start over."
"My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for v0 is that the pricing is too much currently; for answering one question, they take three or four dollars, which is high, so I think they should reduce it."
"One of the big things that is missing in v0 is being able to take my existing code base and build on top of it."
"v0 is good for small to medium-sized projects, but not for anything else in my experience."
