Very good malware and goodware repository and enables us to look more deeply at indicators of compromise
The automated static analysis of malware is the most valuable feature. Its detection abilities are very good. It hits all of the different platforms out there, platforms that see the items in the wild. Also, the solution’s object and file analysis provide us with actionable insights. Its malware and goodware repository is very good. It's very robust. It gets all of the different repositories that are out there that do analysis and brings them under one roof where we can statically analyze for those indicators of compromise and look at them more deeply. If we need to go deeper into things, we can do that.

Centralized threat intelligence has improved our visibility and accelerated incident response
You can find out new threats and security incidents with SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence. You can see the new vulnerabilities when you are using your products. This is very useful. SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence has improved security in my organization, but there are some problems. Sometimes there are too many alarms, which can become quite tiring. We have a lot of information infrastructures, and SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence has improved our security, but we do experience some alert fatigue. There are a lot of web servers. We also integrated SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence with the SIEM. We can see together, and we can see all of the threats and new threats, especially. If you integrate all internal sources, IP addresses, and services to SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence, you can view all of the sources together in a single monitor and area. You can also view all the tickets and vulnerabilities and threats. This is very useful.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"ReversingLabs has a large sample size."
"As far as the availability of the content is generally concerned and the number of malicious programs that can be looked up in the repository, these are very extensive."
"We had nothing in the environment to do such analysis, so it's been a savior in many ways."
"As far as the malware repository is concerned, it's extensive. It's a good source for finding samples, where we are unable to find them on other channels or by leveraging other sources."
"The automated static analysis of malware is the most valuable feature. Its detection abilities are very good. It hits all of the different platforms out there, platforms that see the items in the wild."
"It offers reports on a great many more file types than the other analysis solutions we have. It can give us a more in-depth analysis and better reporting on a larger number of file types. It also gives us a more comprehensive score on a number of things as well, and that's why we're using it as a front-end filter. It gives us more information... It's valuable because of its depth of information, as well as the breadth it gives us. There aren't a lot of tools that cover all of the different file types."
"We have complete faith that it can do that for us, and can do it at scale."
"As far as static analysis information is concerned, we use most of the information that is available in order to determine whether or not we might be dealing with a malware variant. This includes information that is related to Java rules. This is also related to malware families indicated or specific malicious software variants that are labeled by name."
"SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence has positively impacted my organization by reducing the risk score."
"SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence offers relevant information about organizations, along with threat intelligence tailored to specific industries."
"SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence has positively impacted my organization by enabling me to feed higher severity IOCs to other tools, automatically blocking malicious threat actors roaming in the market, while generating reports related to CVEs that we share with our vendors and respective teams for vulnerability validation and remediation."
"Thanks to SOCRadar, we have saved more than $500,000 for our customers by protecting them from cyber attacks."
"SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence has improved our organization's visibility into external cyber threats and helped us identify potential risks early."
"The best feature that SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence offers is definitely the detection of leaks in the dark web."
"SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence has impacted my organization positively by enabling us to monitor and see exactly what our external threat exposures are, a capability we lacked before using SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence."
"The most complete solution of all, which goes across everything and the entire spectrum, is SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence."

Cons

"The product support could be better at times. Sometimes, the resources that they provide could be of higher quality."
"While the company is very helpful, it would be very much appreciated to have extensive proof of concept scripts for the different APIs available, though not for all the APIs that we have purchased. Respective scripts are available, but those scripts which are available are typically not of very high quality."
"I would like to see if we could do a little bit more of bulk uploading of hash sets. Right now, I can only do them individually."
"The solution needs to improve integrations."
"We would really like further integration with our threat intelligence platform, which is called ThreatConnect. We would also really like further integrations with an endpoint protection product we use called Tanium. The reason I mentioned both of these is that ReversingLabs claims to have extensive integrations with both of them, but they did not work for us."
"Overall, SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence is a strong platform, but there are a few areas where it could be enhanced."
"SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence could be improved by providing access through personal emails as well, instead of only offering access through company organization accounts."
"However, pricing, interface, customization, AI, and integration could be improved."
"Regarding the noise minimization capabilities within the Agentic Phishing workflow, I understand that it lacks an organization-level baseline, and I need the analysis provided from Agentic responses to include a severity level."
"I think the feature about the data source, such as the Telegram channel or breach forums, should be more clear, containing the Telegram channel name or the breach forum name instead of just the link."
"I have noticed exposures of credentials that do not show the correct password, as I receive alerts repeatedly for my credentials."
"Everything is good about SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence, but it produces too much noise that needs to be reduced."
"SOCRadar Extended Threat Intelligence could improve regarding the licensing scheme, which is credit-based, especially for specific activities, as it would be beneficial to have some flexibility in how these credits are consumed."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Currently, the license number of lookups that we purchased has not been reached yet, because the integration has only recently been completed. However, our usage is expected and planned to increase over the next couple of months."
"We have a yearly contract based on the number of queries and malicious programs which can be processed."
