Query automation has reduced investigation time and frees our team to focus on complex DevOps tasks
The best features Query.ai offers make anything with queries much easier, and it ensures that it is very optimistically correct with whatever it is doing. It also delivers access throughout real-time and historical data, making it really quick and fast to act upon. The real-time and historical data access from Query.ai helps me in my work by allowing me to go through queries quicker, so even if there are errors anywhere, detection happens pretty fast. Because it is on automation and the investigation is done really quickly, it saves a lot of my time. Query.ai has positively impacted my organization by being very appreciative for what it has done and how there is lesser work task on ourselves, and we could be focusing on more things because as DevOps, we have a lot of work. The reduction in workload due to Query.ai has made things easier, especially every time we need to investigate why an SQL query is not loading or if it is duplicating. It is especially effective during access management to either provision or de-provision access for users.

Centralized environment supports big data while facing integration challenges
The customization in Securonix Next-Gen SIEM is more difficult compared to other solutions. At the operation level, we are not facing many challenges with automating things using Securonix Next-Gen SIEM, but at the admin level, we have many challenges where log parsing is causing issues and compatibility is not present. The primary technology challenge we have is not at the security tools level. For example, firewall Cisco and others are capable. However, specific to product, for SAP, we are using certain products, and developing custom connectors for each product, especially the internal applications, is difficult, and Securonix Next-Gen SIEM is not up to the mark.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Query.ai helps reduce costs and improve security in my organization, though I do not have the actual numbers, but the impact was significant."
"Query.ai has positively impacted my organization by being very appreciative for what it has done and how there is lesser work task on ourselves, and we could be focusing on more things because as DevOps, we have a lot of work."
"Time saving and accuracy are the main benefits; in my data mart and data lakes project, Query.ai has been very useful, with all transformations automated, which had a huge impact on our entire project."
"SNYPR is valuable for any organization because it is not only a traditional SIEM, it is also a UEBA tool that does behavior analytics and provides a lot of analytics and visibility in the UI itself."
"The solution has proven to be stable so far...The solution is easy to scale up."
"I find customer service to be very good."
"It has improved the threat detection response and reduced noise from false positives as compared to our previous SIEM solutions."
"With UEBA being a relatively new space when we looked at it close to two years ago, we were concerned about how well it worked and whether they were truly behavioral-based rules or if that was just marketing terminology for the "latest greatest system," but it exceeds what our initial expectations were for being able to detect different cyber threats."
"The machine-learning algorithms are the most valuable feature because they're able to identify the 'needle in the haystack.'"
"Most of our clients are very happy with the solution."
"We ended up moving our clients over to QRadar as this solution did not end up working for either of them."

Cons

"I felt the pricing is somewhat higher."
"Query.ai performs well, but there are other software options that do auditing a little better."
"Probably Query.ai could be a little more optimized, but it is good."
"Sometimes, the injectors lag and are not loading. It would be nice if that could be improved."
"When they did upgrades or applied patches, sometimes, there was downtime, which required the backfill of data. There were times when we had to reach out and get a lot of things validated."
"The incident response area should be improved."
"Securonix implements risk scores based on different policies that are triggered. We've seen some challenges with the risk scores and how they trigger. These are things that Securonix has recognized and they've been working with us to help improve things."
"The passing and setup are quite complex at the beginning, making onboarding not smooth, which is an area that needs improvement."
"Securonix could open up information regarding the indicators of compromise or cyber-threat intelligence databases that they use."
"It seems to me that within Securonix there is no option for completely visualizing the types of sources or if there is any loss of logs. I've heard that they have an additional module to validate those types of cases, but in terms of the platform itself only, I can only see how often it sends data but not any specific detail."
"One aspect that could be improved is the pricing of the product in Brazil."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Licensing is based on events per second (EPS), costing between $50 to $60 per EPS."
"Its price is fine. We found it to be cheaper than LogRhythm, Exabeam, Splunk, as well as Elastic Security. A few months ago, when we were comparing Securonix with Elastic Security, we found Securonix to be cheaper than Elasticsearch. We were pretty surprised that Elastic Security is more expensive than Securonix because Elasticsearch is just starting, and it cannot compete with Securonix at this time. So, the pricing of Securonix is pretty good for now."
"We have a license from our 5.0, so that license just continued. We paid them the extra cloud-hosting costs for a year which were about $300,000."
"The solution's price is double the competitors."
"I rate the pricing an eight on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is very expensive. It is a pretty expensive tool."
"We went in on a three-year agreement which has an annual licensing fee, based upon the number of people that we're monitoring. There have not been any additional costs to the standard licensing fees."
"We have an annual license. We pay $200,000 for the base licensing and we pay another $50,000 for the software as a service."
"Compared to other known brands in the industry, the overall cost of the licenses is a bit higher than what customers expect."
