Helps ensure data leaks do not occur from the base machine to VDI while multi-instance capabilities remain limited

Have successfully deployed and managed virtual desktops with automation and flexibility
Nerdio is completely an automation platform offering auto-scaling and flexibility. It includes pre-prepared automation scripts available within Nerdio for management. I can deploy applications through the Nerdio Manager Console for remote app and MSIX app attach. The configurations are already created within the console. Nerdio works closely with Microsoft to incorporate new Microsoft releases simultaneously.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution has data leak prevention features that ensure data is not copied from the base machine to VDI, and API copyright capabilities."
"Horizon View's best features are that it gives you more control over the PCs on your infrastructure, and it's specialized for banking environments."
"The ease of deployment is one of the most valuable features. If I want to install something, I can have a test phase to see what sort of impact it will have and whether it will affect production. So I can install it on my lab, make sure it is okay, and if it is, I can deploy it directly to the users or to the staff."
"I think the tool is very useful for attracting new people, either new hires or consultants. Remote usage is also a significant benefit. VMware Horizon's security features depend on the customer and what they want. Of course, if they have multi-factor authentication, VMware Horizon supports that. It depends on their policies, but it works with pretty much anything."
"I like that it updates quickly and allows users to have virtual desktops."
"The console is straightforward and easy to understand for the end user. It can be deployed on any device, including iPads and Mac OS. Users can access their daily applications and resources provided by the VMware Horizon environment from any device."
"The embedded features of the solution are valuable."
"I use the solution in my company for the area of VDI, consisting of multiple applications and allowing users the flexibility to use the applications on mobile devices."
"The customer service from Nerdio is excellent, and I even know the CEO personally and have a positive experience, rating it nine out of ten."
"The solution is one hundred percent stable and very much straightforward."
"Nerdio is completely an automation platform offering auto-scaling and flexibility."
"The most valuable features of Nerdio are its automation capabilities, specifically the autoscale and auto-heal functionalities."

Cons

"The support team's technicalities and the pricing of the solution need improvement."
"Sometimes, the protocol itself gets a bit laggy. If you have less than optimal switching and routing, it can get kind of laggy."
"What I would like to see improved is not so much about the product. It's more about how to get information about products. It's always too much sales pitching and fancy works and stuff."
"In VMware Horizon View, app volume is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"There is room for a more cost-effective pricing structure, as it could be more affordable."
"VMware Horizon could be improved with more integration. It is also very costly for Enterprise Plus, which is a drawback. The renewal costs for the license are very, very high."
"In the next release, I would like to have more support when optimizing the master templates for PDI. There are tools that are available to be used but they are not supported at the moment and are more, "use at your own risk.""
"The initial setup is a little complicated."
"The auto-heal functionality needs improvement."
"They should start providing the certifications on Nerdio for training and enhancements, mainly for the open community of IT."
"The auto-heal functionality needs improvement. Currently, the feature is limited because it only allows one heal condition and doesn't support multiple triggers."
"They should start providing the certifications on Nerdio for training and enhancements, mainly for the open community of IT."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"VMware Horizon can be considered to be slightly expensive"
"I rate the product cost a six on a scale of one to ten, where one is high price, and ten is low price."
"It falls on the more expensive end in terms of cost."
"We are happy with the price."
"VMware Horizon View pricing is high compared to other solutions. I rate it two out of ten. Its licensing costs are monthly."
"VMware Horizon is expensive and I would rate it an eight out of ten."
"Horizon 7 is cheaper than some competitors, like Citrix, because it includes solutions for the server side, the VDI side, and the hypervisor side."
"It is hard to know for sure. It is definitely in the $20,000 to $30,000 range. It is quite expensive, but you do save money on desktop power, desktop upgrades, etc. You're able to extend the useful life of your previous desktops. Previously, we used to change desktops regularly, and now we just change them when they break."
