Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It is easy to manage all of the individual backup jobs, check the status every day, and it can even send an email to keep us informed.""The most important feature besides the easy management of the different backup jobs is the automated e-mail notification functionality.""The chat functionality with Nakivo Support in the web interface is very unique and we love it.""This product has a very clean and intuitive GUI.""Nakivo's reporting features have helped a lot. They give my boss high visibility into what's going on, which is crucial because we had a data breach in the past where we lost about 12 years of data. That's why we bought several appliances, and we replicate the same backup twice a day to three different depositories.""The features that we like the most are the Backup Copy and Active Directory Integration. They have helped us to save a lot of time since we do not have to make the backup copies “by hand”.""The initial setup is very straightforward.""It uses all the bandwidth available if not limited and backs up entire servers with all data about four times faster than Windows Server Backup and EaseUS TODO Backup."

More Nakivo Pros →

"NetBackup Appliance's most valuable feature is the duplication encryption standard feature.""There are a lot of new features that operate to protect the data from ransomware attacks. They launched the Veritas/Appliances to protect our data. Veritas has been doing its job well.""The documentation is okay. You are able to follow it and it is helpful.""NetBackup is based on really good architectural hardware, and Veritas has the best backup and replication technology in the world.""The reporting is very good compared to other tools.""This is a good backup interconversion solution because all the masters and the targets backups are on the same system. It is easy to administrate for a single point of access for clients.""It’s quite scalable.""We find the pricing is reasonable."

Cons
"It would be a good thing to have some use case and architecture examples online to understand integration in complex infrastructure.""Updating VM Tools on a replicated VM could be better.""Space is always an issue.""From an administrator usage perspective, the interface is very intuitive, but maybe the wizard for creating and modifying backup jobs could look a little fancier.""From our experience, the main factor that could be improved is adding more cloud services that are supported as a backup repository.""The only thing we have encountered that we would like to see improved in the future are error messages. They could be more detailed and helpful, without the need to send logs to support. Failing that, the part of the log related to the error could be displayed alongside the error message, so I can investigate the error without looking through all of those logs that I'm able to download.""The interface can be a little clunky at times.""An additional feature that would be appreciated is disaster recovery automation."

More Nakivo Cons →

"They could improve the interface a bit.""The monitoring could be a bit better.""The hybrid model is not that efficient if we want to off-site data; it takes a lot of time to upload the data on a regular basis.""It's an expensive solution.""It's hard to get to the backups. There are too many tabs.""The configuration can sometimes be tricky during implementation.""Veritas NetBackup would benefit from better explained error codes.""It could be better integrated with other platforms."
