Enables us to prioritize and effectively address critical security issues
Evidence-based reporting helps us to prioritize and solve critical security issues. The new visualization feature demonstrates how an attacker can enter the system, highlighting the potential path that can be exploited and outlining all the steps the attacker could take. With that visibility, we can ensure the perimeter is strong and attackers cannot enter, thus reducing the risk. It has helped us prioritize issues. The visibility into how an attack could happen is valuable. For example, it highlights the system vulnerability and outlines where an attack could propagate. The visualization helps me to prioritize remediation, and if I don't know where to start, I can check to see the score that enables me to prioritize issues. I am using infrastructure-as-code scanning, and it's one of the useful features. In pre-production, it identifies embedded secrets and misconfigurations, including issues with Kubernetes or some privileged containers. This feature allows us to pass the audit and secure IaC code so that it isn't easily exploitable by attackers. We can more proactively work to identify and resolve vulnerabilities by using the dashboard and the alerting system that SentinelOne provides. It helps us with audits and compliance. We can show the compliance in percentage. We can confidently say that our company or infrastructure is very secure. It has improved our security posture by 30% to 35%. It has reduced our false positives by 30%. It has helped teams collaborate better. The security team manages SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security, and when it flags vulnerabilities, they are forwarded to DevOps for remediation. Previously, we needed to identify and report the issues, but there would be lapses in communication. Now, there is a centralized dashboard that anyone can look at and see the open issues and work on them.

Offers in-memory protection at a lower price than competitors
Morphisec's in-memory protection is probably the most valuable feature because it stops malicious activity from occurring. If something tries to install or act as a sleeper agent, Morphisec will detect and stop it. Morphisec's Moving Target Defense is critical to hardening our attack surface. If it detects something, it indicates whether it's valid. That means you've got a breach requiring investigation. It detects anomalies but doesn't necessarily point to what caused them. You still need to do that work. The solution is reasonably easy to administer. They made some changes last year, adding a cloud-based monitoring solution that makes deploying and monitoring our endpoints easy.

Prioritized cloud risks have transformed our small team and focus now shifts to weaponizable threats
The best features Skyhawk Security offers are the ability to prioritize your work, especially when you have limited staff, and ensure that you address the most important issues first and with urgency. A security team is usually very thin-spread and doesn't have a lot of resources to solve issues. Skyhawk allows me to prioritize those based on the actual probability of a vulnerability being exploited. Skyhawk Security helps me prioritize through the dashboards. They have a dashboard that shows me the amount of vulnerabilities that I have. From those vulnerabilities, it lists out the ones that are exploitable. From the ones that are exploitable, it shows me the ones that are weaponizable and how they are weaponizable. From there, it shows me the ones that are weaponizable and have the ability to impact my Crown Jewels. Skyhawk Security has positively impacted my organization because we are a small security team, and Skyhawk Security allows us to prioritize our work. We are better at what we do, and it doesn't take more people to do more important work. With the limited staff that we have, we are able to address the things that pose the highest risk to us first, rather than take all the critical vulnerabilities and address them one by one without any type of prioritization. Our outcomes since using Skyhawk Security changed because we went down from thousands of vulnerabilities that we needed to review and address to a prioritized list that includes a handful of vulnerabilities that we needed to fix because they were the most urgent. We then have a work plan to address all the others. From a focus perspective, it improved the focus of my team, and it improved the efficiency and effectiveness of my team because we are now addressing the most urgent issues first.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The monitoring tool has comprehensive monitoring features."
"I did a lot of research before signing up and doing the demo. They have a good reputation as far as catching threats early on."
"The GUI is one of the best features. Audit reports and documentation for alerts are also valuable."
"The user interface is well-designed and easy to navigate."
"The solution helped free other staff to work on other projects or other tasks. We basically just had to do a bunch of upfront configuring. With it, we do not have to spend as much time in the console."
"Visibility is the most important aspect."
"Cloud Native Security's best feature is its ability to identify hard-coded secrets during pull request reviews."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security is excellent, and I highly recommend it."
"It provides full visibility into security events and from both solutions in one dashboard. I'm not a big security guy, if I have a threat that looks like there's a problem, I will ask Morphisec to dissect it for me, and tell me what might be happening. Because it tends to be all hash codes, so I can tell what's going on. They've been pretty good with that."
"Morphisec makes it super easy for our IT team to prevent breaches of critical systems; it is a one-click install, then it takes care of the rest."
"Morphisec is a straightforward solution that is efficient and very stable."
"The biggest feature is that it hides everything from your operating system that's running in-memory from anything to try to run against it. That's the most unique thing that's on the market. There's nothing else out there that's quite like that. That's a big selling point and why we went with it. It does exactly what the design does. If you can't find it, you can't execute against it."
"We have not had one machine that has been taken down due to malware now in almost four and a half years, with 600 machines that we don't have routine infections on because nothing can execute."
"Morphisec makes it very easy for IT teams of any size to prevent breaches of critical systems because of the design of their tool. When we evaluated Morphisec, the CIO and I sat and listened. What attracted us to them is the fact that it stops activity at the point of detection. That saves a lot of time because now we are not investigating and trying to trace down what to turn off. We have already prevented it, which makes it very much safer and more secure."
"The product has absolutely worked flawlessly; we have had basically no issues, either with the product or with any type of virus or zero-day attacks, ransomware, nothing, as it has caught everything."
"Morphisec makes use of deterministic attack prevention that doesn’t require investigation of security alerts. It changes the memory locations of where certain applications run. If you think of Excel, opening a PDF, running an Excel macro, or opening a webpage and clicking on a link, all of those actions run in a certain area of memory. Morphisec changes the memory locations of where those run."
"Skyhawk Security has positively impacted my organization because we are a small security team, and Skyhawk Security allows us to prioritize our work."
"The initial setup process is easy and intuitive."
"It helps us in reaching the ISO27001 certification."
"We fell in love at the first sight."

Cons

"The first downside of SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security was the onboarding process, which was very challenging and took a lot of time."
"Currently, we would have to export our vulnerability report to an .xlsx file, and review it in an Excel spreadsheet, and then we sort of compile a list from there. It would be cool if there was a way to actually toggle multiple applications for review and then see those file paths on multiple users rather than only one user at a time or only one application at a time."
"We had a glitch in SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security where it fed us false positives in the past."
"The dashboard can be more detailed."
"We are getting reports only in a predefined form. I would like to have customized reports so that I can see how many issues are open or closed today or in two weeks."
"Whenever I view the processes and the process aspect, it takes a long time to load."
"We don't get any notifications from SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security when the clusters are down."
"Crafting customized policies can be tricky."
"Having to have an on-prem server required a lot of administration."
"Automating reports needs improvement. I would like to have better reporting capabilities within it or automated reporting to be a little bit more dynamic. That's something I know they're working on. We literally are in the process. We started the process a week and a half ago of going to their latest version, so I've not seen their latest one up and running yet."
"I haven't been able to get the cloud deployment to work. When there's an update, I'm supposed to be able to roll it out for the cloud solution, but right now I'm continuing to use our SCCM solution to update it."
"I haven't been able to get the cloud deployment to work."
"Morphisec is a venture startup. They are still early in their growth stage. They need to get mature on their customer support and on how they interface with system tools. For example, they need to get multifactor in place and an API for the major multi-factor systems, e.g., Okta, Duo, Ping, and Microsoft. They don't have them built in yet. They are working on them. It is just not there yet. Also, their stability, customer support, and processes need improvement, which is just part of maturity."
"Morphisec is a venture startup. They are still early in their growth stage. They need to get mature on their customer support and on how they interface with system tools."
"We wanted to have multi-tenants in their cloud platform, so every entity can look into their own systems and not see other systems in other entities."
"Automating reports needs improvement. I would like to have better reporting capabilities within it or automated reporting to be a little bit more dynamic."
"Skyhawk Security can be improved mainly by improving the UI so it is a little bit easier to use, and the speed that it takes pages to load are the main downfalls."
"The solution needs automatic testing."
"The solution needs automatic testing."
"The platform’s interface needs enhancement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is fair. It is not inexpensive, and it is also not expensive. When managing a large organization, it is going to be costly, but it meets the business needs. In terms of what is out there on the market, it is fair and comparable to what I have seen, so I do not have any complaints about the cost"
"PingSafe's primary advantage is its ability to consolidate multiple tools into a single user interface, but, beyond this convenience, it may not offer significant additional benefits to justify its price."
"The pricing is somewhat high compared to other market tools."
"While SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security offers robust protection, its high cost may be prohibitive for small and medium-sized businesses."
"Singularity Cloud Security by SentinelOne is cost-efficient."
"The tool is cost-effective."
"Singularity Cloud Workload Security's pricing is good."
"While I'm slightly out of touch with pricing, I know SentinelOne is much cheaper than other products."
"It is an annual subscription basis per device. For the devices that we have in scope right now, it is about $25,000 a year."
"We are still using a separate tool. I know for our 600 or I think we're actually licensed for up to 700 users, it runs me 23 or $24,000 a year. When you're talking to that many users plus servers being protected, that's well worth the investment for that dollar amount."
"The pricing is definitely fair for what it does."
"It is a little bit more expensive than other security products that we use, but it does provide us good protection. So, it is a trade-off."
"Licenses are per endpoint, and that's true for the cloud version as well. The only difference is that there is a little extra charge for the cloud version."
"It is priced correctly for what it does. They end up doing a good deal of discounting, but I think it is priced appropriately."
"Price-wise, it's on the higher side. A traditional antivirus solution is cheaper, but in terms of security and manageability, its ROI is better than a traditional antivirus. I would recommend it to anybody evaluating or considering an antivirus solution. If your system gets compromised, the cost of ransom would be a lot more. This way, it saves a lot of cost."
"Compared to their competitors, the price of Morphisec is not that high. You can easily deploy it on a large-scale or small-scale network."
