Room for Improvement: MicroStrategy's setup is often complex and costly, with visual customization challenges and lengthy support response times. Pyramid Analytics needs improvement in ease-of-use, better training materials, and more comprehensive documentation to enhance user experience.
Ease of Deployment and Customer Service: MicroStrategy supports both on-premises and cloud deployments but is seen as resource-heavy with mixed customer service reviews. Pyramid Analytics provides varied deployment options but lacks robust customer service, often leading users to seek help through online forums.
Pricing and ROI: MicroStrategy's high licensing costs can be daunting for smaller businesses, although some users find the ROI reasonable. Pyramid Analytics is more budget-friendly for mid-sized companies but can incure additional costs for extra features, offering valuable long-term benefits if aligned correctly with organizational needs.
There is a positive return on the data investment for my clients using Pyramid Analytics.
Because we selected Pyramid Analytics for our product and we are not going to throw out all the work I previously did, we just go with Pyramid Analytics for the product.
I would rate the technical support from MicroStrategy as nine out of 10.
They always answer quite promptly.
The one time we had an issue related to something with the logins, they addressed it that morning.
MicroStrategy's scalability is good, as it has the possibility to read a lot of data and works fine with all the information that we have.
Regarding Pyramid Analytics' scalability from what I have seen, with the right people managing it, it can handle growing amounts of data and users well.

Pyramid Analytics is stable in my experience; there have not really been issues with downtime or bugs.
Organizations that are well-established and have more money can afford MicroStrategy, but startups and mid-level organizations who do not have this much budget have to opt for other cheaper tools.
I would appreciate improvements in MicroStrategy related to integration or sharing features with Power BI.
MicroStrategy could learn from Power BI's user-friendly interface.
It's just a logic you need to learn. It's not as intuitive as in Microsoft, for example.
Any advanced user wants to implement an idea that they have, and while the whole idea of a platform is not necessarily to give a custom solution, I would not mind if they had more in terms of AutoML or that sort of capability.
It's not more expensive than all our other BI tools regarding Pyramid Analytics.
It's important because with MicroStrategy we can manage all our cubes and show data to our clients.
The MicroStrategy interface is not as good as Power BI, especially concerning the user-friendly aspects.
The most effective features of MicroStrategy for data analysis in my experience are the security, the metadata management, and the administration, along with the options of different workarounds available to accommodate different types of requirements.
After implementing Pyramid Analytics for my clients, I have seen measurable outcomes and specific improvements, such as having a single platform that gets them from the raw data to the endpoint reporting.
I wish it would be more friendly to a developer, not only just to an end customer.
