Modern analytics tool enhances user interactions with neat visualizations for improved decision-making
One area for improvement could be in offering more advanced features even in the open-source edition or making the paid versions more cost-effective. Data scalability, especially if the data grows, requires manual infrastructure management, which could be improved. Increased customization and visualization options in the open-source edition would be beneficial. Additionally, it might be helpful if more complex queries and stored procedures were supported.

Unified data workflows have improved reporting quality and now support better decisions
The best features Pyramid Analytics offers include a broad range of features, which I think is one of the advantages of it. It has a lot of connectors and a lot of different capabilities. I would say end-to-end capabilities is one of the nice features of it. Regarding the end-to-end capabilities and lots of connectors, I found the connectors most valuable. If you are trying to do Snowflake, SQL server, or any of the normal database platforms that you see in the cloud or on-premises, it has those connectors built in. You don't have to worry about writing custom drivers. That is a nice feature to have. Pyramid Analytics has impacted my organization positively in that I use it for my clients' organizations. For my organization, it is great because it gives me a technology platform that clients enjoy using and I am proficient with. For my clients, it is about delivering on their aspirations in terms of what they want to do with their data and where they want to head in their organization. This is definitely a tool that we can use in order to get there. After implementing Pyramid Analytics for my clients, I have seen measurable outcomes and specific improvements, such as having a single platform that gets them from the raw data to the endpoint reporting. I think that streamlining has a positive effect on the quality of the outputs. The quality of the outputs definitely leads to better decision making.

"The features I find most valuable are 'Discover,' 'Formulate,' and 'Model.' I use them regularly to build logic and create reports for my job."
"Management decided to change from Power BI to Pyramid Analytics, and this decision has been very beneficial because cost is lower for hundreds of users while maintaining data security, accuracy, and reliability, leading to improved sales, acquisition of many new clients, project expansion, and better operations through consolidated agriculture activities and easier compliance reporting."

Cons

"The tool must be made more user-friendly."

"The solution could provide more customization."
"Pyramid Analytics could improve by speeding up data refresh, especially for large datasets."

"Some things that are easily accomplished in Power BI are more complicated in Pyramid Analytics."
"One thing that could be added that could be useful is more rich data cataloging, which Pyramid Analytics doesn't really have at the moment."
"It would be desirable to have the possibility to generate a data dictionary, detailing the original physical tables, renamed fields, and derived fields."
"Some challenges include issues with incorrect information being input, as errors could persist in Pyramid Analytics and affect data purity."
"I liked that I could write my own query inside Pyramid Analytics and extract the data the way I wanted it, but I did not like that it was too complex to display just a simple report, with so many menus and sub-menus, and the calculations were a bit complex."
