Room For Improvement

SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security needs enhancements in affordability, integration, support, customization, documentation, and performance for improved user experience.
Lacework FortiCNAPP enhancements focus on visibility, IAM controls, usability, integration, and granularity in alert management and reporting.
Wiz needs better logging, reporting, risk assessment, integration, scalability, cost efficiency, and enhanced remediation workflows for large enterprises.
If they can merge Kubernetes Security with other modules related to Kubernetes, that would help us to get more modules in the current subscription.
As organizations move to the cloud, a cloud posture management tool that offers complete cloud visibility becomes crucial for maintaining compliance.
I would also like to see Cloud Native Security offer APIs that allow us to directly build dashboards within the platform.
We would like to see preventive controls that can be applied through Wiz to protect against vulnerabilities that we're not going to be able to remediate immediately.
One significant area for improvement would be increasing automation. While they excel at identifying issues, we need assistance in minimizing the human hours required for tasks.
We need an agent that can be installed, or that can overview all the containers and Kubernetes so that it can detect malicious activities that are happening in them.

Setup Cost

SentinelOne Singularity is competitively priced but perceived as costly for larger deployments and possibly unsuitable for smaller businesses.
Lacework FortiCNAPP offers stable, competitive pricing, starting at $80,000 annually, with a unique, refined licensing structure.
Wiz offers fair pricing with advanced features, but concerns exist over costs and transparency compared to other market options.
I believe the enterprise version costs around $55 per user per year.
There are some tools that are double the cost of Cloud Native Security.
I recall Cloud Native Security charging a slightly higher premium previously.
We are paying 250k per year.
In some cases, it has a very aggressive price, so very cheap.
I don’t think there’s anyone else out there offering the same level, scale, or efficiency.

It's more scalable and flexible than our previous solution because we don't need to install any agents
The reporting works well, but sometimes the severity classifications are inaccurate. Sometimes, it flags an issue as high-impact, but it should be a lower severity. For example, it might highlight an exposed AWS encryption key, a critical compliance issue, but it isn't tagged as a high-risk problem. That only happens about 10 percent of the time. It shows a true positive 80-90 percent of the time.

Provides quick visibility and significantly reduces alerts
Its integrations with third-party SIEMs can be better. That is one of the things that we discussed with them. We have integrations, for instance, with Splunk. The data that we are receiving in Splunk is huge, and it is valid because Lacework has a bunch of data that they can provide to you. However, to be able to import the data and create alerts, we needed to do some work, so integration is one of the things that they can improve. For container security, how they scan images and how they provide results is something that they need to continue improving in terms of visibility. We already have visibility to several artifacts, but they can take that to the next level and see what else they can do. There can be better integrations with CI/CD pipelines. There can be improvements in terms of how we can take action or how we can report from the number of inventories they are providing to us.

Accelerates decision making and reduces alert fatigue with smart event consolidation
I believe they are on the right path. However, Wiz has a unique way of identifying issues. As part of its growth and maturity, I'm noticing that it is taking an approach where it not only detects problems but also provides solutions to fix them. This expansion into a more comprehensive ecosystem allows it to become a 360-degree product. Instead of just continuously pointing out findings and detections, it starts to integrate with existing solutions, reducing the cycle of repeated issues. We can learn from these mistakes, and ideally, they will only occur once, allowing us to address them effectively. I appreciate the continued growth in this partnership, as it aims to reduce the number of findings over time by tackling the root of the problem. One significant area for improvement would be increasing automation. While they excel at identifying issues, we need assistance in minimizing the human hours required for tasks. Ideally, the process would become more automated, allowing us to quickly respond with steps such as: we found an issue, reached out, and fixed it immediately. In cybersecurity, if it takes several hours to address a concern and a human attacker is present, that delay can lead to severe consequences. We need more immediate measures in our response strategies.
