Has streamlined deployment with consistent configuration and reduced long-term hardware replacement needs
The best feature of Juniper QFX Series Switches is the virtual chassis feature because it's very stable in my experience. Juniper QFX Series Switches have positively impacted my organization because it's very helpful for customer connectivity. We've been using it for customer connections, and it's very stable. We can use it for a long time without any broken devices or errors on the system. It has helped me significantly with my network.

Has reduced deployment time and enabled cost-effective internet access in the public sector
As an integrator, the best advantage of the product is its cost. MikroTik Cloud Router Switch stands out for its features, especially those available at that price point. I don't get involved too much in the setup of MikroTik Cloud Router Switch, so I appreciate the ease of setup. There are no specific features we use it for; its cost-effectiveness for internet access is what matters. One useful feature we utilize is Ethernet over IP. The positive impact of the solution on our company and clients is that it provides an attractive price point. It allows us to deliver cost-compliant solutions to our clients. Since we work in the public sector, cost is a very important attribute, and that's where it fits in our portfolio.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The QFX series is a good choice for large data centers, particularly for Spine-Leaf architectures."
"It's really easy to replicate rules. It's the one that I've used; it was CLI-based. You can implement a large set of rules with CLI. You can just copy a script and add additional changes to the source and destination on the part. And so it's easy to do large zone-based rules."
"The most valuable features are the VxLAN and the EVPN."
"I do see a return on investment with Juniper QFX Series Switches because I can use this device for a long time, and it's still very stable until now."
"EVPN-VXLAN feature offers the most benefits."
"Support is good and customer-friendly"
"Juniper QFX Series Switches are very good data center switches, and they are the core part of their fabric."
"It's a stable solution."
"The initial setup is easy."
"It is user-friendly, reliable, and cheap."
"Regarding security and visibility in monitoring, it is very good, the GUI is very intuitive, and it has many more features than those from major vendors."
"There are a lot of features to control permitting or stopping packets in the network."
"MikroTik Cloud Router Switch stands out for its features, especially those available at that price point."
"It is easy to set up."
"Some of the most valuable features are the simplicity, cost, usability, and power. As a package, it's extremely effective."
"The traffic monitoring capabilities are excellent."

Cons

"Integrating QFX switches was the first point of challenge."
"There have been some issues sometimes. When you upgrade the device, it doesn't come up. It gets stuck."
"There is room for improvement in the pricing model. It is too high."
"Sometimes parts are not available in stock, then you have to wait for replacement time."
"I don't think there's any improvement needed on Juniper QFX Series Switches, but I would like to see other cheaper plans for the license on the QFX series."
"I don't think there's any improvement needed on Juniper QFX Series Switches, but I would like to see other cheaper plans for the license on the QFX series."
"The price could be cheaper."
"It is very costly."
"If MikroTik had a marketing team and support team in India then it would be much easier for us to get the product, as well as support."
"MikroTik is mostly used by medium and small businesses, so the security is not as robust as Cisco."
"The bulk efficiencies and the control of traffic could be a bit better."
"The packet filtering, user log data, and user access log could all be improved."
"Stuff that I'd like to be improved is really just training and documentation because I think the feature set is full. Another improvement I'd suggest is that their new, bigger releases should be a bit more stable."
"Simplifying the documentation would be a good idea."
"The port isolation and VLAN need to be improved."
"There has to be more development in the OS. It's complex for this switch as compared to others like Cisco. For NetGear and Cisco, it's easy to adapt the VLAN concept but it should be simplified for MikroTik."
