Threaded collaboration has transformed how our team tracks tickets and monitors automation updates
One suggestion I would make for improving Slack Business - Enterprise is the support of multimedia such as images and videos that we can easily share through Slack. That would be great. Additionally, another thing is AI integration; if Slack has some AI capabilities to get insights about conversations or summarization, that would be a great feature. If Slack has an AI feature that can summarize a particular Slack thread and provide a summary of that, that would be a great feature for us. I would rate it a ten if it comes with some AI features, particularly using generative AI to produce summarization and other kinds of insights from communication in a more secure, data-secure way.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Various business groups were able to collaborate effectively using this tool."
"In comparison to other platforms, Jive-n provides the fastest way to integrate new affiliates into your organization."
"We recently rebranded our organization and used this tool as our primary channel."
"Colleagues are more informed, it is easier to find content, and silo breaking has significantly improved our collaboration."
"Jive-n offers the best curated experience of the social-based content for enterprises."
"We are able to handle more than one hundred POs at any given time with their shipping docs and info, with only one person in charge."
"The platform works well to collaborate with creating documents or media for a specific goal."
"Jive came out on top for feature, price, and ability to meet regulatory needs."
"Slack's categorization of content and the availability of channels are highly valuable, as they keep communications organized."
"The product gives the best user experience."
"More often than not, members of our team are on the go rather than in the office."
"Slack Business - Enterprise has impacted our organization positively; it is performing very positively compared to other chat applications and is very helpful at an enterprise level to keep track of everything in separate threads."
"Tasks and team huddles are the most valuable features of Slack."
"We use thread-based communication. So that if a new person comes to look into a problem for a particular task, they can easily go and look into the particular thread it is discussed in."
"In my opinion, the integrations feature is the most powerful feature because some issues are of immediate priority and we want to get the notification promptly, and through the Jira plug-in, we are getting those."
"The most valuable feature is that we can easily integrate different workloads and the alerts are reliable. Also because it allows us to use it as a monitoring tool sometimes."

Cons

"The search engine could be improved and also provide some kind of indexing."
"Standard Silver technical support is similar to standard support by all vendors, i.e., not quick enough."
"A visual navigator would be very useful as many colleagues have an issue to find their way and connect the dots."
"Jive-n can improve their integration, plugins and democratize their configuration abilities."
"Stream activity could be better organized."
"Create a better way of adding users in bulk by email address."
"We had major performance issues when our user base went up."
"The mobile app could be better."
"Customization is something that Slack is lacking."
"From my perspective, a disadvantage of Slack compared to Teams is that connecting between the apps can be a bit difficult."
"Many of the advanced features and integrations are built with developers in mind. More functionality and integration for other use cases would be welcome."
"We could see improvement in Slack by having an integrated meeting tool. Currently, we rely on third-party integration tools like Zoom to schedule meetings. It would be much more convenient to schedule meetings directly within Slack without additional integrations. It needs to have calendar and CRM integrations as well."
"Their notifications are generally not very prompt. There is a problem with their notification engine, and sometimes, I end up pressing on notifications."
"When scaled on a large scale, the solution's cost becomes a matter of concern for organizations."
"Notifications are not as good as they could be (especially for mobile)."
"The tool has stability issues that need to be improved. We are not native English speakers and Slack needs to integrate grammar checks."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"It's on the more expensive side."
"We use the free version that does not have a license."
"The pricing can range up to about twenty bucks a user. You can spend a lot of money, especially if you're talking about thousands of users. Generally speaking, Slack is less expensive than Teams. Slack doesn't include all the bells and whistles that Teams does. So you can go from a $6 license in Microsoft 365 to a $50 license per user per month, and there's a lot more you can do in the $50 license."
"When it comes to pricing, it is on the expensive side."
"Slack is definitely worth the money."
"I would rate the tool's pricing a four out of ten."
"It is less expensive than one of its competitors."
"The solution is expensive."
