Has good reusability and CDI features
I use Collibra Data Quality. I switched to Informatica because Collibra cannot integrate. Colibra Cloud Data Quality is a very basic tool. There is no integration capability. If you have problem records, there is no fix to remediate them using the same tool. With Informatica, you can integrate with CDI and then create a remediation plan.

Offers predefined rules and easy to migrate data with minimum customisation of rules
The customization of the data needs improvement. We need to build basic SQL queries rather than being able to do it within the tool. We need to be able to analyze the SQL queries and then rerun them based on customer usage. We should be able to tune the existing process by using simple SQL queries based on the customer's requirements. In future releases, I would like to see more features around Preload and postload reports. From the end-user point of view, it is not very feasible to read. I need to know how the data has been migrated. I need to know whether the complete data has been migrated, only the required data has been migrated, and how it was migrated. So the postload reports will give validation between the source data and the target source. It would give exact picture of the data migration.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most beneficial feature of Informatica Cloud Data Quality is it's cloud-based."
"The reusability factors are nice. The Cloud Data Quality is much better. A major flaw in the previous version was integration with the catalog, which is now seamless."
"The out-of-the-box features and standard profiling options provide quick visibility of the data within minutes, which facilitates discussions with the business."
"We primarily used Cloud Data Profiling to connect with Cloud Data Governance, a tool also used by Teva. This integration allowed users to access data quality results within the data governance catalog."
"The most valuable feature is the rule specification."
"The quality of the data improves with Informatica Cloud Data Quality."
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"I would definitely recommend Informatica Data Quality to others."
"Syniti has built-in 80% of the solution, and we only need to customize 20 to 25% of the features. It is easy to run and pre-load reports."
"The customer service and support is good."
"The major benefits of Syniti Data Quality stem from the productivity and flexibility it offers to users."
"With Syniti Data Quality, you can integrate SAP and directly fix errors from Syniti Data Quality instead of logging into SAP and then fixing them."

Cons

"The integration with older technology and cloud quality needs improvement."
"In certain domains, I am looking for material-level match features that are not customizable. The current solution requires code-writing and tweaking, while other solutions offer material-level matches."
"Some capabilities from the cloud version are not included in the on-premises version."
"In the on-premises version, features like web service consumer and web service provider are available, but these functionalities are currently unavailable in the cloud edition."
"You cannot import the data discovery rules you create in the solution to the Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC)."
"The downside of Informatica Cloud Data Quality is that it requires a developer to write rules and maintain the systems. This creates a significant cost and time burden."
"Support response time could be better."
"Logical views are a little bit behind in comparison to the on-premise version."
"The loading mechanisms and administration processes, particularly in setting up connections and deploying the system, need improvement."
"The customization of the data needs improvement. We need to build basic SQL queries rather than being able to do it within the tool. We need to be able to analyze the SQL queries and then rerun them based on customer usage."
"It would be good if Syniti Data Quality could integrate more AI in the future."
"In Syniti Data Quality, data extraction is an area with certain shortcomings where improvements are required."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Informatica Cloud Data Quality is a costly solution."
"We pay for a yearly subscription."
"The licensing costs attached to the solution are pretty high, but then, with the cloud model, the prices depend on what it provides for the value of money, which I feel was very high."
"The solution is expensive."
"I would rate the pricing a six out of ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
