Automated processes improve efficiency while user interface and accessibility need enhancements
IBM Watson Studio, while powerful, lacks user-friendliness. It is not easy to use, particularly for medium or small enterprises or less experienced staff. Another aspect that requires improvement is the complexity involved in computer vision tasks. The integration capabilities have not significantly impacted workflow since there are simpler tools like Alteryx and Nine. The platform is associated with a complicated setup process and demands heavy hardware, making it expensive to scale. IBM should work on optimizing the user interface and enhancing the product's accessibility for medium and small enterprises.

Enables us to forecast and pull trends and has an easy installation
My rating for SAP Predictive Analytics would be an eight out of ten. If I have to be bold, I'll probably say that we're building away hours, and we are actually putting a lot of the actual predicting stuff back into the warehouse. So running it very bi-directionally. So I'm not sure what its integration features are at the moment, but that's an area we're going to look into in the next month or so.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution was a deployed model and I was just installing the API, sending some data and returning some data from REST API, and it was very easy to use."
"Stability-wise, it is a great tool."
"IBM Watson Studio consistently automates across channels."
"In my experience, AutoML is the most valuable feature of IBM Watson Studio."
"In our experience, compared to Dialogflow, they have great support."
"The most important thing is that it's a multi-faceted solution, a kind of specialist, not a generalist, that can produce very specific information for the customer and is totally different from Google or any search engine that produces generic information."
"It has greatly improved the performance because it is standardized across the company."
"Technical support is great. We have had weekly teleconferences with the technical people at IBM, and they have been fantastic."
"SAP Predictive Analytics is better suited for business users because it hides the complexity of the model, whereas Microsoft Azure Machine Learning provides a lot more flexibility for technical professionals to tweak the model."
"The most valuable features are the analytics and reporting."
"I have found that the solution is very stable."
"We always purchase SAP support because it is very good."
"I think the features of the actual ability to forecast and pull trends and correlations has been really good."

Cons

"Initially, it was quite complex. For us, it was not only a matter of getting it installed, that was just a start. It was also trying to come up with a standard way of implementing it across the entire organization, which had been a challenge."
"More features in data virtualization would be helpful. The solution could use an interactive dashboard that could make exploration easier."
"IBM Watson Studio has great features but the decision making in their decision making feature is less good than other options."
"The solution's interface is very slow at times."
"So a better user interface could be very helpful"
"Some of the solutions are really good solutions but they can be a little too costly for many."
"One area that could be improved is the backup and restoration of the database and the overall database configuration."
"The decision making in their decision making feature is less good than other options."
"This solution works for acquired data but not live, real-time data."
"The license fee appears to be prohibitively expensive and overly secretive, leading our clients to opt for cloud-based solutions that only charge for data storage and processing time."
"This solution works for acquired data but not live, real-time data."
