Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature of Google Hangouts for me is content sharing."
"The installation part of the product is easy since one generally needs to use a browser to use the product."
"It's integration with Google is the valuable feature."
"The most valuable feature of Google Hangouts is there are no predefined or meeting durations. For example, Zoom meetings have a set duration, typically ranging from thirty minutes to an hour, whereas Google Meet meetings can continue indefinitely. Additionally, it is effortless to generate a meeting, whether it is a live session or for future use, and distribute your link to others, making these aspects appealing to me."
"The most valuable feature has been the ability to present presentations during meetings."
"The video call feature is the most valuable."
"The technical support team for Google Hangouts has been pretty responsive and could solve whatever challenges arise, within a day or two."
"Its ease of use is most valuable. It is just a click, and you're in the system."
"I am impressed with the tool's production support."

Cons

"The solution can improve by having more integration with different platforms."
"There should be more space for multiple users at a time so that multiple people can connect, can share, and even transfer control to another colleague, employer, student, etc."
"The product was quite unstable during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially when we shared our screens, as it often resulted in a black screen."
"One improvement could be integration with Google Calendar to help find available timeslots when scheduling meetings with many participants."
"Google Meet could be more secure."
"I would like to see more focus on features for interacting with the participants in a group chat, such as screen sharing."
"The user interface is an area with shortcomings and needs improvement."
"The improvement needs to be done as per customer requirements."
"The tool is slow in updating changes. It also has a poor dashboard operating system."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"For individual use, there's no license requirement as such. For storage or some other purposes, if I go beyond 15 GB, then I need to buy something."
"We are using the free version of Google Hangouts."
"I don't need to buy Google Hangouts separately because it comes free with Google Workspace, and it is also available for my personal Gmail ID."
"There is no license cost."
"There is an annual subscription to use this solution."
"I think there is a need for payment for licensing, but as students, we didn't have to pay for it when we were using it. Our professors were the ones paying for it since they needed to record the sessions."
"I believe my company has a yearly license for Google Hangouts, but I'm not sure because this is a corporate account, so I don't have the details."
"We access the solution through Google Workspace. It is inexpensive to use."
"The solution is expensive. I would rate the product's pricing an eight out of ten and it is yearly."
