User interface consistency facilitates seamless project planning and design for specialized tasks
While Google has made efforts to address SAP loads, the company lacks a product specialist focus. They cover a broad range of products, which might affect their ability to compete well in certain niches. Google's strength lies in their adapted approach to specific tasks, as seen with SAP loads. Generally, their focus is widespread.

Stable with excellent speed and agility
The most valuable aspect of the solution is simply to have the ability to host in a cloud form and out of the data center - the IBM big iron solution. It's the speed and the agility that really sell SoftLayer. The ELT versus ETL extract, transform and load versus extract, load, and then transform, the ELT method is what really sells SoftLayer. The ability to extract act from your current location, load into your future location, with limited change, and then be able to take the transfer actions slowly and methodically after you're in your new location is the part that really makes this awesome. The stability and scalability are quite good.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Everything I store in the solution is available on all of my devices."
"The most valuable feature of Google Cloud Storage is the filter option. You can search with some artificial intelligence kinds of features. For example, if I search for a beach, it'll show me all the beach-related pictures, which I took five or ten years before. So this is a cool feature that I've seen. They give as many features as they can to make it better, so I'm happy with this solution."
"Easy to use object storage solution that's scalable and stable. Its technical support team is customer-friendly."
"There is a free-to-use version. This is the version I use."
"From a stability standpoint, the solution is excellent. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The most valuable features are the ease and accessibility of information."
"The most valuable features of Google Cloud Storage are flexibility and sustainability."
"The most valuable features of Google Cloud Storage include easy API integration for querying, downloading, and uploading files."
"The stability is the solution's most valuable aspect for our organization."
"The ELT versus ETL extract, transform and load versus extract, load, and then transform, the ELT method is what really sells SoftLayer."

Cons

"A lower cost, lower-end solution for a shared file system is missing."
"Here in the Philippines, we don't have direct support from Google. We have self-studied to learn the services."
"User management could be better. It's complicated process to delete users and maintain the structure of documents created by deleted users."
"The solution should have two factor authentication."
"The licensing fees could be reduced."
"I would like the storage to be less expensive."
"The solution could always be more user-friendly."
"While Google has made efforts to address SAP loads, the company lacks a product specialist focus."
"For us, the versioning was an issue."
"The interface is hard to use for us. It should be simplified."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Approximately 800 to 1,000 USD is paid towards the licensing costs of the solution. The solution is neither expensive nor cheap, meaning it is moderately priced. There are no extra costs apart from the licensing costs of the solution."
"I use the free version and have never paid for any extra storage. I have been able to manage in whatever free spaces are given."
"They know that the pricing is comparable with Azure, AWS, and those other solutions like Amazon are cheaper, but they are not as flexible."
"The solution is free."
"The product pricing is reasonable."
"In general, it's fairly priced."
"It's an inexpensive product."
"It's about nearly $10,000 USD to use the services on GCP, however, Google gave us a good deal which is why we originally went with them."
