While Google has made efforts to address SAP loads, the company lacks a product specialist focus. They cover a broad range of products, which might affect their ability to compete well in certain niches. Google's strength lies in their adapted approach to specific tasks, as seen with SAP loads. Generally, their focus is widespread.

Stable with excellent speed and agility
The most valuable aspect of the solution is simply to have the ability to host in a cloud form and out of the data center - the IBM big iron solution. It's the speed and the agility that really sell SoftLayer. The ELT versus ETL extract, transform and load versus extract, load, and then transform, the ELT method is what really sells SoftLayer. The ability to extract act from your current location, load into your future location, with limited change, and then be able to take the transfer actions slowly and methodically after you're in your new location is the part that really makes this awesome. The stability and scalability are quite good.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Google Cloud Storage's most valuable feature is the native algorithms are available. Some of the algorithms are not available for the use cases that we had in Microsoft Azure. We didn't find any native algorithms and that's the reason why we decided to use the machine learning algorithms in GCP."
"It is seamlessly integrated with your Android. There’s no fuss, no hassle."
"It is a reliable product."
"The solution operates in the background and it is attached to my Gmail account. When I download files to my phone, such as pictures, they automatically go to Google Cloud Storage."
"The product's initial setup phase is straightforward."
"It's user-friendly. We find it to be very easy to use."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is reliability."
"I would recommend Google Cloud Storage based on our experience, as it is fully reliable."
"The stability is the solution's most valuable aspect for our organization."
"The ELT versus ETL extract, transform and load versus extract, load, and then transform, the ELT method is what really sells SoftLayer."

Cons

"Google Cloud Storage could improve by having better integration with Microsoft Office files. When I open a Google document I would like it to be able to be opened with Microsoft. You can already open Google documents in Microsoft Office."
"They need to get some parts of the program more mature, like the admin management part as well as the monitoring part."
"When compared to one of its competitors, Google Cloud Storage does not have or offer a lot of services to its users. So, this is one of the downsides of the solution."
"The storage could be improved to manage it a bit better. Google Cloud Storage could be more secure, but the security features are okay."
"It would be better to assign storage usage to different categories, because storage capacity is cumulative, if your Google album and email are both full, you will be unable to send or receive email."
"I am not sure about the reliability of the solution."
"There are inefficiencies with cache when the names are sequencing."
"Google Cloud Storage could be improved by increasing the drive capacity."
"The interface is hard to use for us. It should be simplified."
"For us, the versioning was an issue."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of Google Cloud Storage is reasonable when compared to other similar solutions."
"The product is subscription-based. When you pay, you will get more storage."
"The solution is free."
"In general, it's fairly priced."
"Its price is fine."
"The price could be cheaper."
"The solution was very cheap compared to other products."
"It's about nearly $10,000 USD to use the services on GCP, however, Google gave us a good deal which is why we originally went with them."
