Analyzing web traffic and gaining competitive insights with comprehensive data
The website analysis feature in SimilarWeb is vital for my work. It provides everything I need by allowing me to input any domain and filter by country. I can see the number of visitors over time, the number of unique users, session duration, clicks per session, and more. This helps me understand traffic patterns, user engagement metrics, and user journeys before and after visiting a site. Having this comprehensive data in one feature gives me crucial information for strategic planning. Additionally, there is a unique feature to look at outgoing traffic from ChatGPT or Perplexity, showing how much traffic certain websites receive from these tools.

Cons

"Data capture of the acquisition of users, as on a few occasions, it was unclear where we got traffic from."
"The sampling of data is definitely a pain point since we don't have an actual understanding of the data."
"Some spam data is messing up the analytics report; Google should remove spam data."

"If you do not use JavaScript, you will be invisible to Google Analytics. If you have the option of JavaScript disabled in your browsers, you will be invisible to the data, since the tool will not be able to register you."
