Great features, effortless integrations and offers an enhanced experience for users
Some of my current wishlist items for improvements would be to extend the existing timeout setting or have that setting configurable at a user level. Currently, when designing and testing larger workflows, the sessions timeout and re-authentications are frequently required. Also related to the designing and testing of larger and more complex workflows, navigation is sometimes cumbersome. A means of easily navigating and following the various connectors and workflow links would be a welcomed addition.

The features of SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite that I found most valuable are related to entity flow. We can find the entity flow to be very useful so we can grab the flow accordingly. There is no disturbance in the connections, and it is very clear to check the connection flow with applicable queues. When comparing to other applications, SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite is the easiest way to understand the application. I have also worked on the cloud services where SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite is moving to cloud. I have worked on cloud services where the mapping part is in the cloud itself, along with the connection setup.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The no-code visual front end, along with pre-built samples, allows someone with very little technical ability to get an integration up and running."
"Being able to seamlessly make changes to how one can do mapping visually without having to be a seasoned developer is great."
"Great for data flow."
"The Flowgear tool is helping us reduce the manual work that is done."
"Well-managed version control of workflows and the simplicity in promoting workflows through each environment has aided my team in developing workflows for various environments without the risk of losing development work."
"The solution has increased efficiency and productivity and saved us time and money."
"It has improved our integration with our data supplier."
"Among the most important [features] are the BIC 6 Converter and the communication protocols, which have the newer security features for certificates and encryption."
"It's nice to have that in one system, versus using multiple systems, and it has also increased the level of efficiency in our company's operations by about 30 to 40 percent because everything is on one tool, supporting many people at the same time, worldwide."
"The solution is flexible when it comes to adding integrations, it is much easier to use than the other tools we have to move the files, and across the board, we can move files in a short amount of time compared to our other existing tools."
"Of all the projects where people have come to me, I can't remember having to say, "No, we can't do that.""
"If you have restrictions where you can't change the applications you have - you host a lot of third-party applications and you need to integrate the data between each of those applications, then SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite (BIS) is one of the best tools available."
"The SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite (BIS) was one of a few which provided translation for various formats, communications, and integration into SAP, all under one hood."
"The product has the ability to handle high volumes of data efficiently."
"We had a requirement for transferring data to Amazon S3 buckets but we did not have a solution in our shop for large data transfers to Amazon S3. We worked with SEEBURGER and created a framework solution and now, using that solution, we can configure the transfer in an hour or two and enable it to go to existing or new S3 buckets."

Cons

"We would like to see more learning videos for beginners."
"The software itself needs to keep up with the daily demand to service all clients as the need arises."
"The product would be nice if it could provide the deployment features in the lower packages."
"The UI could be improved."
"Currently, when designing and testing larger workflows, the sessions timeout and re-authentications are frequently required."
"The initial setup was a bit complex as we were new."
"The product needs to improve the self-help tools and samples."
"The cloud interface is currently too cluttered, especially when creating new transactions from scratch or performing search queries."
"There are a lot of service packs during the year. I know that part is the process for updating features, but sometimes it's difficult to update service packs every month."
"We don't have much access to the logs or what's happening. So we have to log a ticket with SEEBURGER. We only get a message that something has failed... we have to open a ticket with SEEBURGER for them to tell us exactly what the issue is... I would like us to be able to be more self-sufficient."
"We use a SQL database and believe they can do better when it comes working with large databases."
"I find the solution quite confusing to use, especially when looking at the tree structure."
"I don't think the scalability of the solution is that great because they have tied the solution to their named nodes and it does not allow scalability like some of the cloud products allow."
"Providing more training materials, especially when new products are released, would be beneficial."
"It's rather difficult to understand, from the application, what's broken and why it doesn't work. We typically need to get support from them directly, and it's usually in a consulting role, to fix issues."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The pricing is cheap. In fact, when I saw the pricing, I thought, "Really? What's the catch?" But the functionality that we get out of it, for the price we pay, is great value."
"It has a very goofy pricing model in the sense that they have so many components and it's not very clear what components you require to do your work. When you ask for that, you learn that there's a surcharge for them. It's not that you buy a product and you can use all the compatibilities. They have all these different bits and pieces of it and you have to pay extra for all those things."
"I've heard that the solution is cheaper when compared to other products in the market."
"We pay per message we use. We spend about £19,000 a year with them."
"They need to be more competitively priced. When it comes to training, they need to lower their prices. It shouldn't be so specific. Maybe they should outsource training to another company. From what I can see, their training is pretty expensive, and they don't do anything for free."
"Pricing, compared to the tool that we had earlier, is cheaper."
"I have had exposure to other big vendors over the years and would have to say the pricing is pretty typical. They all fall into a common pricing range, at least the bigger vendors: Axway, IBM Sterling, Globalscape, and SEEBURGER. They all fall into that mid-tier pricing. So, SEEBURGER is commensurate with other large integration vendors operating in this space. Maybe it is lower than some of the really high-end ones. You can get some of these high-end transactional messaging integration systems, like TIBCO, that tend to be kind of on a higher echelon of pricing. I would say SEEBURGER is more mid-level."
"They have options for every budget. You can book Cloud Services, starting with a few hundred Euros per year or month, depending on what you want, or you can even buy huge landscapes and operate them on your own. The pricing is fair compared to others."
