We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It is very easy to collect and handle data in ExtraHop Reveal(X) Cloud. Integration with Big Data is also easy. Many of our customers integrate it with Big Data platforms like Splunk or Elastic. It is also easy to handle and easy to understand.""It is scalable.""It stands out for its intuitive and efficient user interface, robust detection capabilities with minimal false positives, and the ability to handle encrypted traffic, making it a valuable asset for network security and management."

"The integrations for this solution are very good. I use a different product for virtual patching of vulnerabilities and Qualys integrates well with that product.""It's very configurable to adjust impact to systems.""There are fewer false positives when using this solution.""The most valuable features are vulnerability detection and the scanning capability to enable identification of vulnerabilities across our network.""The solution shows us classic categories, including high, medium, and low risks. It also shows critical items, and that gives us the advantage of prioritizing things.""The most recent is VMDR, which provides a comprehensive overview of how to detect, patch, and remediate specific vulnerabilities.""The most valuable feature of the solution is the external channel.""The most valuable features of Qualys VM are its ability to do proper vulnerability assessment. It has a lot of updates for all the vulnerability databases from all over the globe. It's an amazing solution when it comes to the versatility of the features it has. Additionally, the reports are very good. It generates very detailed reports about the vulnerabilities inside the environment"

Cons
"A drawback includes bucket storage limitations for payload data, necessitating timely extraction for thorough investigations.""There needs to be more support.""They can include integration with SAP. Currently, no vendor provides network performance monitoring in the SAP market. It is a very big market. We have around 400 customers for SAP in Korea. In the USA, there are more than 10,000 customers."

"What we have found is that the solution is not closely tied with the patch management. It is okay with newer ones, like Windows 10 machines; it gives the correct patch. But for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008, it does not give us the correct patch so we have to manually identify the patches. This is a major problem.""I would like to have CSPM, a continuous scan-like cloud added to the solution.""There needs to be better documentation.""One of the biggest issues from the clients' perspective is that all Qualys computing is on the cloud.""They should make it accessible for more operating systems.""Could use additional security for the app.""There's a need to upgrade or fix the potential vulnerability rate. Around 20,000 potential vulnerabilities were showing in Qualys VMDR, but none of the other tools showed them. When we checked, it wasn't the case. Support explained that even small issues were being counted as vulnerabilities, causing issues in our audit. So, the security features could be improved to identify vulnerabilities accurately.""They're still evolving their platform in terms of reporting capabilities."
