Centralized device management has automated onboarding and improves remote security compliance
One thing I feel Microsoft Intune could improve is troubleshooting visibility. In many cases, when a policy or application deployment fails, the error messages are a bit generic. So, admins still spend time checking logs manually or testing on devices one by one. Compared to the simplicity of deployment, troubleshooting sometimes feels less mature. I also think reporting and real-time monitoring could be stronger. The dashboard gives useful information, but in large environments, many teams still depend on additional tools or scripts for deeper reporting and analytics. If I had to focus on one area first, I would probably choose troubleshooting and reporting. Deployment through Microsoft Intune is generally straightforward, but when something fails, identifying the exact root cause can still take more time than expected. Error messages are sometimes too generic, and admins often have to dig through logs, sync status, or multiple portals to understand what actually happened. I think user experience and policy management could also improve further. Microsoft Intune has become much better over the years, but sometimes the admin portal still feels fragmented because certain configurations open in different sections or redirect to older interfaces. For new admins, especially, it can take time to understand where everything is located. Another thing is policy conflict handling. In larger organizations, multiple device policies, compliance rules, and configuration profiles can overlap. When conflicts happen, the visibility is not always very clear, so admins spend time figuring out which policy actually won or caused the issue.

Secure data handling has transformed how our team protects PII and simplifies compliance
There are some improvements that can happen. Enigma Vault is strong in security and compliance, but there are a few areas that can be improved. Better observability and monitoring would be helpful. There is limited deep insight into tokenization failure and API latency breakdown. It can be improved by detailed dashboards, logs, and alerts, which can help in faster debugging and production monitoring. Another area is lower latency for high-scale systems. Every request goes through the vault APIs, which adds latency. In our application we have 1 million users at the candidate side and around 100,000 at the enterprise side. We have latency issues which we need to consider. Lower latencies for higher scale systems would be beneficial. Improvements could be made through edge-caching for the token. AWS provides these kinds of services such as CloudFront, so we can use these to store the tokens in the caches. There could also be regional vault deployment, similar to what AWS does. The APIs are good, but the development SDK support can be expanded a little because better documentation and examples would be helpful, especially for newer clients who are getting onboarded. Developer experience can be improved, and observability is another area. As a developer, I will get the APIs and everything which is provided by Enigma Vault, but the documentation that they have is a little too overwhelming for a newer developer. They are not able to understand it easily. Documentation is one thing that can be improved if a developer wants to start working on it.

Centralized device control has reduced data costs and protects lost mobiles and tablets
Synchronization is a problem sometimes, and I suggest that IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson should improve by making the user interface more user-friendly. It feels pretty average, which gives a hard time for new users. It should be more user-friendly and intuitive. IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson should reduce the cost of the per-device subscription, because when you have a lot of devices like our organization has, it becomes pretty expensive to manage all the devices. It should also allow simplified device management. The cost reduction of 30 to 40% is primarily from reduced device losses, less manual work for admins, and other factors. The more devices you have to manage, the more the cost, especially because they bill per device. In our case, IBM Security MaaS360 can be a bit expensive. It could be less expensive for a small organization dealing with a few devices. The setting is slightly complicated because of the unintuitive interface.

"The reports aren't complete, and it's not easy to build custom reports."
"When I started learning Microsoft Intune, I struggled because it was not straightforward; everything is in forms and it takes time to understand. The UI is extremely bad; it has a lot of overlapping elements and is confusing in many senses."
"If we can not seem to get even half a dozen users working with the product in a way we consider stable, the scalability is in question."
"There are some improvements that can happen. Enigma Vault is strong in security and compliance, but there are a few areas that can be improved."
"Enigma Vault is a strong security platform within Ericsson, but there are always areas where it can be improved further."

"IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson is a strong endpoint management solution, though there is room for improvement."
"While IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson provides useful device management capabilities, occasional delays in policy synchronization and reporting have been experienced, and the user interface could be more intuitive, which sometimes increases the time required for administration and troubleshooting."

"Overall, IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson is a good solution, but there could be more integrations with third-party cybersecurity tools available out of the box."
"To improve IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson, I would like to see easier setup, simpler customization, and even better false positive reduction."
"I think IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson could improve by enhancing the graphical interface because compared to other MDMs, I think it is a little simple."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"In terms of the product price and licensing costs, my company finds the product to be reasonably priced."
"The Intune license model is costly."
"There is a license needed for this solution and it is either included in one of the enterprise license agreements. Microsoft licensing is a mathematical institute, it could be quite complex. We tend to ask specialized organizations to research what the most profitable way it would be for us to use licenses in the organizations."
"If you ask the accountant or the finance department, they'll tell you that it is way too expensive, but when I look at the cost and compare it with the value you actually get, it's more than fair."
"Its price is in the medium range. It is acceptable because you're paying for the features. I am not aware of any additional costs."
"The pricing needs improvement."
"It is not expensive."
"It is reasonable for the features it has."
