Cross-platform capability enhances security integration
The single agent, combined with the EDR system, delivers additional information and data for the EDR. Regarding the use cases, or maybe it fits better into another question about the motivation of the customers, I can see two approaches. The first approach is where the customer has an existing EDR system running, and their contract comes to an end. They are looking to either prolong it, renew it, continue with the current system, or look for something cheaper or better. When they reevaluate the contract, it's a sales approach to suggest that for a similar amount of money, not very much more, they can get something much better. It's not only a plain EDR or plain antivirus system - it's antivirus plus EDR. The difference in price is not much. Especially for the antivirus, the cross-platform capability is significant, as it's for Windows and Linux workstations and servers. Having one system for all platforms is essential. This has helped in two ways. The majority of customers want one thing for all, however, some customers definitely want two systems, servers separated from workstations. I have a big data center for banks, and they separate Windows Servers from Linux Servers. It is important for them to have two different systems. By providing this multi-operating system capability, I have engaged with customers via the Linux servers because the Windows servers are handled differently, so they were looking for a second different system, which opened the door for us.

Comprehensive protection and seamless integration elevate security experience
A positive aspect of Trellix MOVE AntiVirus is that our biggest feature prevents users from installing USB drives. We don't have the issue of distributing viruses or transfer of files. They always track harmful files before they can enter the computer system. It protects against unnecessary use of external storage devices. It also gives protection to all the systems, on-premise or out of the premises, online, including the server. The server sends periodic updates to all the systems connected to it. We have administrative overhead as we have centralized management for Trellix MOVE AntiVirus. We can monitor all our computers that are currently using Trellix MOVE AntiVirus. We can monitor all their vital points. If they are online, offline, if they are being attacked by any viruses, anything that we need to take action upon, it will be on our centralized overview application.

Pros

"I would rate the overall product as an eight out of ten."
"Especially for the antivirus, the cross-platform capability is significant, as it's for Windows and Linux workstations and servers."
"The solution's most valuable feature is its AI detection algorithm part, which helps and is Cybereason's way of detecting the unknown, not just the signature-based threats."
"The tool's detection range works fine. Its most valuable features are its ease of employment and lightweightness. It's not heavy on resources. We focus on malware and ransomware detection."
"Threat detection and prevention are the most significant features. It covers most of the data collected by sending it to McAfee by looking at the behavioral analysis, vulnerabilities, and such, and then it assesses the data with the threat intelligence in their analytical engine."
"Technical support is okay."
"The installation is quite straightforward."
"The solution is fast."
"MOVE AntiVirus's best feature is its ease of use."

"In the time that I've been using it, it hasn't crashed. It's rock-solid. So, I haven't noticed any performance issues, like using too much CPU or memory."
"The most valuable feature is the protection it provides. It stops you from exploring certain sites. If you somehow try to mistakenly access a website that contains malware, it will stop you. This is a good feature because it prevents viruses."

"SentinelOne provides a cloud solution that McAfee MOVE AntiVirus should as well. When all other vendors come out with new features they are implemented by all the other vendors within a few months. However, this is not the case with McAfee MOVE AntiVirus. They should update their features more often to be more competitive with the market."
"We started using MOVE Antivirus because our security staff required it. And I personally haven't seen the difference because I haven't had any issues so far that McAfee addresses."
