Provides effective real-time threat detection with potential for cost optimization
Some features such as device control, firewall management, and file analysis are standalone products that we need to purchase separately. If these features came out of the box within the product, it would be much more beneficial for us. Other providers such as SentinelOne include these features in their base product. We attended a CrowdStrike Falcon event where they discussed some shallow AI features, but we cannot see these in our panel yet. We work with different solutions such as Darktrace and SocRadar, where AI features are automatically displayed in our dashboards after release. However, for CrowdStrike Falcon, we cannot see these features.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It helps us to identify the threats according to the behavior of any process that is running on any particular system. It helps immensely to identify any malicious behavior on any endpoints."
"CrowdStrike is a great solution."
"Because it is security product and acts like an AIML smart product, not merely based on daily/weekly updates and signatures."
"Cyberattack detection is very good. We use it for detecting different vulnerabilities, such as ransomware, virus, and malware. It is a good product today when compared to Symantec that we used previously."
"CrowdStrike displays a threat score when it detects an infection. This is helpful because not all detections are the same. It will classify them as ransomware, malware, phishing, etc. This feature helps us prioritize and cross-check with other EDR tools."
"It helps to prevent unauthorized access or identity theft from external sites. If your identity is stolen, you can ban it."
"It is an easy product to deploy."
"CrowdStrike Falcon is effortless to use, and it's a cloud-specific platform. You only need to deploy the light agents on the licensed endpoints, and you're ready to work. Your dashboards will tell you the number of the endpoints being protected and the incidents. There are also incident dashboards with alerts that will tell you about the details."
"The solution has a component that monitors Active Directory through an agent. It also monitors end-user activity. It gives us insight into what's happening on file servers and in our domain or the directory."

Cons

"The performance could be better."
"The solution could improve by providing more types of reports because it's in the detection span you cannot re-export anything. If it could be exported to a CSV file directly there it would help a lot. I currently need to do this by API to get what I need."
"Tighter integration around XDR could be included."
"CrowdStrike needs to quit making up stuff about its features and functionality to bash its competition."
"In a future release, I would like to see more integrations for data breaches and security features."
"I would like to see a more accurate integration and an option to check the local machine."
"I have worked with their technical support on several problems that were never fully resolved."
"I believe nothing can be done to make CrowdStrike Falcon a ten out of ten, as I think it's one of the best solutions in the market. However, rating it a ten overall would imply there's no scope for improvement, but to survive in the market, changes must be made every day."
"The tool needs to improve its UI and reporting. It can also consume the resources of old machines."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"This solution offers annual subscriptions. The pricing for this solution could be reduced."
"The price is high in comparison to similar brands."
"CrowdStrike Falcon is one of the more expensive endpoint solutions on the market."
"The solution isn't very costly; it's affordable."
"The price of CrowdStrike Falcon is reasonable."
"CrowdStrike Falcon's price is good."
"The pricing of CrowdStrike Falcon is competitive."
"There are three to four licensing models available to choose from for CrowdStrike Falcon. The price of CrowdStrike Falcon depends on the distributor and the reseller partner. The price we received was good."
"StealthINTERCEPT's pricing is reasonable."
