Helps prevent advanced threats and reduce incident response times through unified security policies
The best feature Check Point Infinity offers for me is threat prevention, which is effective at blocking malware, ransomware, and phishing, as well as preventing zero-day attacks before they reach users or systems. For our team, the threat prevention in Check Point Infinity works by layering multiple defenses that stop attacks before they reach users or systems, and the most effective feature for us is the specific SandBlast Zero-Day Prevention, which uses advanced sandboxing and threat emulation to detonate suspicious files in a safe environment. Check Point Infinity has impacted my organization positively, as I have seen a reduction in security incidents and response times, with threats that used to slip through different point solutions now being blocked automatically thanks to the unified prevention layers.

User interface needs refinement while providing robust security and cost management
Xops helps me with cloud finance management by allowing me to monitor my spending, and just a couple of months ago, I noticed that my AWS bill, which usually hovers around 50k monthly, spiked unexpectedly. I received an alert on the dashboard and via email about a sudden increase in usage, enabling me to rectify the actual problem and bring things back to normal. The best features of Xops, in my experience, include the FinOps component for checking unnecessary spending trends, the cloud security features, and the cybersecurity and workload security features that allow me to frequently check for vulnerabilities on images and websites. The cloud security feature of Xops stands out to me because it helps maintain compliance status by providing multiple compliance checks, including ISO and CIS benchmarks, and it is not limited to AWS, as it also includes Azure cloud scans and O365 cloud scans, allowing me to monitor security across various platforms. Other useful features of Xops include asset management tools and automation scripts, which help me check what assets I have across all regions, giving me a global view whenever I need it. Xops has positively impacted my organization by enabling me to save money and proactively detect issues, especially related to cloud spending, while also improving my routine security checks for any misconfigurations. While some metrics are difficult to quantify, I regularly run scans to catch security vulnerabilities that may arise due to changing user settings.

Pros

"One of the valuable aspects of Check Point Infinity is that I can use one unified portal for the administration of all these tools."
"For me, one of the best features of Check Point Infinity is to be able to have the possibility of emulating the activity of attached files with malicious content in such a short time."
"The tool's most valuable feature for threat prevention is the encryption alarm. I find the centralized management console, including the log analyzer and reports in Check Point Infinity, extremely beneficial for enhancing security and operations efficiency in our enterprise. I would rate it a perfect ten out of ten, as it effectively helps us analyze logs, and detect potential attacks."
"Since implementing Check Point Infinity, we have noticed a clear improvement in our overall security posture and efficiency because the unified threat prevention reduced the need for multiple point security and simplified daily operation through centralized management."
"We have seen a faster response time and reduced effort from the network and security engineers while going through logs."
"We are fully satisfied with the abilities it provides and the general approach of the Check Point solutions."
"Our company used Check Point Infinity to connect various locations worldwide through VPN, specifically using IPsec, rather than for cybersecurity. We implemented it in on-premises networks to collect data in data centers from different locations."
"The Infinity portal combines all Check Point solutions in one place, including the endpoint, SASE, and the SMP."
"X-Ops has significantly improved our organization by streamlining cloud cost governance and enhancing the security posture across our AWS trading environment."
"Xops helped us mitigate the frequent external attacks that we have been trying to curb for a long time now, and more importantly, it helps with an easy-to-understand dashboard where I can monitor the services in use, optimizations, and ultimately the costs."
"The AWS cost optimization features have been game-changing - particularly the automated detection of idle EC2 instances and unattached EBS volumes that were silently draining our budget."
"The automated compliance monitoring reduced our manual security audits by 60%, allowing our team to focus on strategic initiatives rather than repetitive checks."
"Xops has positively impacted my organization by enabling me to save money and proactively detect issues, especially related to cloud spending, while also improving my routine security checks for any misconfigurations."
"The most valuable aspects of the solution include the Cloud FinOps Dashboards and the vulnerability scans."

Cons

"Another improvement that would make our experience smoother with Check Point Infinity is simplifying the initial setup and configuration process; while powerful, it can feel overwhelming for smaller teams without dedicated security engineers, so more guides, wizards, or automatic best practice templates would be helpful."
"We need improvement around the Smart-1 cloud solution."
"One of the main improvements that can be made is the latency in the portal."
"One area for improvement in Check Point Infinity is the user interface, as it can feel complex for new users."
"We have had some performance issues. Because of this, we had to redirect traffic to be analyzed by other appliances."
"The addition of languages for the support could improve Check Point Infinity."
"The management console has given us some trouble, and the documentation is a little bit rigid in its solution paths."
"The tool's technical support lags."
"I chose four out of five because I believe more UI enhancements and a cleaner UX navigation could elevate it to a perfect five."
"I do not have notes for improvements."
"While Xops delivers on core functionality, the platform could benefit from more mature AI models for anomaly detection."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Choosing the correct set of licenses is essential because, without the additional software blade licenses, the Check Point gateways are just a stateful firewall."
"The product has good pricing considering the features and a global approach."
"Check Point should provide an enterprise-wide license where the organization should be provided free hand of using any license or services for an agreed period of time (EULA)."
"When it comes to price, the paramount consideration is the strength of the security. If the security measures provided by the product, such as Check Point Infinity, are robust and meet our requirements, price becomes a secondary concern."
"I rate the product's price a six on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"The flexibility in pricing is advantageous, and being a special partner allows for negotiating special rates based on the project requirements."
"The pricing of Check Point Infinity could be better. There is a license needed to use the solution and we pay annually."
"The solution's price is quite high, and the licensing model requires extra licenses for various features like SD-WAN."
