Efficient reports simplify tracking and feedback for cybersecurity submissions
I am a developer working in cybersecurity, and I use Bugcrowd to help companies remove vulnerabilities from their websites. I report vulnerabilities found in applications or customer platforms through Bugcrowd's cloud platform. This allows the cloud team to track submissions, and then the client…

The CREM feature is an absolutely essential feature that helps us meet security requirements
Since we started using Trend Vision One, we've been able to enhance our security posture significantly. Trend Vision One has improved significantly over time in providing centralized visibility and control. It started as a set of individual products, but now it feels like one integrated solution. This reduces the need for interfaces or multiple analysis tools. That's why we pursued the one-platform strategy. Trend Vision One has definitely helped consolidate our use of security vendors. We previously used standalone products for endpoint and email protection that weren't integrated. Now, we get the benefits of an integrated solution. I'd estimate we're 50–70% better in security now than we were two years ago. The Cyber Risk Exposure Management (CREM)feature is absolutely essential. Even though we're not critical infrastructure, the NIS2 directive gives us security guidelines. CREM helps us meet these requirements. It is very important to our organization that Trend Vision One integrates AI into the platform. Pattern recognition in forensic data is no longer manageable by humans due to the volume of events. Machine learning is essential to process these and filter what needs human attention. Trend Vision One has improved our organization significantly. Security tasks used to be manual. Now, technology prevents issues or supports staff in detecting them. This shift from manual to technical solutions greatly increased our security. Trend Vision One has reduced the time we spend detecting and responding to threats. I'd say we're 80% faster than before. The platform gives us consolidated data upfront, so we don't have to search for event clues manually. Trend Vision One has helped reduce false alarms. I'd estimate a 50–60% time saving. We have more alerts now than years ago, but also better systems to handle them, making the whole process more efficient. Trend Vision One has helped reduce our cyber risk overall. We now know where gaps are before they become problems, whereas in the past we had to guess. That's a massive improvement. When it comes to operations, the CREM solution helps us identify vulnerabilities in systems. If we patch them, they disappear from the reports—this gives us actionable insights, which is incredibly helpful. It took about half a year to realize the benefits of Trend Vision One after implementation.

Pros

"One of the features I like most about Bugcrowd is the ability to create a report in a very easy way."

"Working on Bugcrowd has made me a better security engineer since it provides a competitive environment to report successful vulnerabilities."
"I believe Bugcrowd is highly stable."
"Bugcrowd has programs that disclose rewards and invite researchers to new programs."
"The most valuable aspect of Bugcrowd is that it provides a long list of different websites or web applications where I can report vulnerabilities."
"One of the features I like in Trend Micro XDR is that you can drill down on the root-cause analysis for anything you find on the solution. I also like that it works for detection purposes. Behavior analytics is also what I like most about Trend Micro XDR. I love that it has features such as behavior detection, program detection, and memory scanning. By default, the solution protects against spyware, apart from the normal virus scan. Smart Scan and DLP are also available in Trend Micro XDR which I like as well."
"The zero-day vulnerability is valuable."
"The SOC team is the most valuable feature for us because having experts who monitor global threat landscapes and can respond accordingly is incredibly helpful."
"Its threat intelligence sources enable it to automatically block domains known for command-and-control callbacks, effectively preventing attacks from those sources."
"It helps a lot to understand where the threat is coming from, where is it going, how is it being dealt with, et cetera."
"Trend Micro XDR is a comprehensive solution that is not overly complex to use or manage."
"Drilling down further, we can analyze how our users are utilizing their workstations, including the websites they visit."
"Trend Vision One offers centralized visibility and management across all protection layers, providing a holistic view of our environment and enhancing visibility across the entire infrastructure."

Cons

"The triaging process has slowed down compared to three years ago."
"There is room for improvement in Bugcrowd's response time when customer input is needed for resolving tickets."
"Bugcrowd should provide more access to the reports, similar to HackerOne, allowing for full disclosure once a bug is resolved, so researchers can learn from them. They should improve the responsibility type and response time of their customer support, especially when the issue is urgent."

"There is room for improvement in Bugcrowd's response time when customer input is needed for resolving tickets. If this time could be minimized, it would be very helpful."
"The triaging process has slowed down compared to three years ago. It now takes more time to resolve a reported vulnerability and receive the payout."
"The automation capabilities on-premises could be improved, as we currently have to manually activate servers and push policies."
"Improving the user interface would be helpful—it can be confusing, especially if you do not use it daily."
"It would be great if there were Trend Micro products that could enhance the security of these devices, either as part of our product or in some other way integrated into our offering."
"The product needs to have a lot more maturity, and they need to improve the overall technical support framework for getting the value out of XDR."
"It would be ideal if they could improve the control of connectivity between sensors."
"Vision One's search could be improved. While the platform is very user-friendly, the search feature uses terms that aren't as intuitive."
"Vision One generates numerous false positives, forcing unnecessary investigations and highlighting a need for improved filtering options."
"Currently, there is nothing specific that needs improvement. Their support is very cooperative, and they provide an educational portal for learning the solution. However, deployment could improve by considering customer environments that are not fully updated."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Competitors offer comparable solutions at slightly lower prices, so Vision One has room to reduce its pricing by 15 percent, given that Trend Vision One charges approximately $10 per endpoint."
"The pricing is fair and not on the higher side."
"It is very good. The flexibility to temporarily exceed license limits when setting up new devices is helpful, as it allows us to ensure security before purchasing additional licenses."
"Trend Micro recently switched from a license-based pricing model to a credit system, which caused some initial frustration during my renewal."
"It is definitely not cheap. I do believe you get what you pay for to some degree. It is cost-effective."
"Trend Micro XDR is expensive."
"I find it to be a cost-efficient platform."
"I feel that Vision One is a bit expensive. As for the pricing or licensing, I would rate it a seven out of ten."
