Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I like the simplicity of this solution and the fact that it saves us time. The deployment was really straightforward and useful and I am impressed by the anti-virus endpoint detection and response offered by this solution.""The endpoint protection is the solution's most valuable feature.""The solution has exchange protection. It has a content control, device control, a firewall, and anti-malware as well. They are all quite valuable features for us."

"This is the number one product for privilege account security.""The password rotation and the session recording are the most valuable features.""CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager is very easy to manage, which I like. The solution also has a dashboard where you can see which software is suspicious, which I find valuable.""We can do both server and endpoint protection.""The solution allows me to give access and privileges to each user individually""The feature called PTA, which stands for Privileged Threat Analytics keeps track of what admins are doing and works with Centimeters. If something fishy is going on with a user's credentials, it alerts the security team so they can act fast. Plus, it automates stuff like resetting credentials or blocking users. So, if there's a potential hack, CyberArk can change passwords and lock out users in a snap. It also gives you a heads-up if anything unusual is going on with server activities, like someone creating new users with uncontrolled credentials.""I am impressed with the product's seamless integration. The PAM wallet and enterprise password wallet are good also good.""I like that you can remove the admin rights from the user's computer and have control over the environment. That means you can delete the local admins and grant them proper privileges with the console. So, they will get proper permissions for applications they need, but we don't have to do it. In the domain where we don't have control, the user can only do specified actions, but not all of them."

Cons
"There are blurred lines between anti-virus and endpoint detection so I would say it can be confusing when you are considering buying this program. I would like to see that being explained better to the customer.""The database needs improvement. It needs to be updated quite a bit.""There needs to be better integration with the environment. Especially, for the active directory and also for keeping up with the changes from Microsoft. We use a lot of Microsoft OS. I have noted that sometimes they lag behind Microsoft updates. For example, when with Windows 10. I had some issues with deploying to Windows 10 because the solution was behind in updating their own services to match the Microsoft release."

More Bitdefender Hypervisor Introspection Cons →

"The installation process is pretty difficult.""It's an old product and has many areas that can be improved.""We have had some major issues with the tool, but we have worked with the R&D teams and we have worked with support. There is room for improvement, especially on response times. But they're working on it and they're doing the best they can.""CyberArk meets clients' need very spot-on. It covers everything customers ask for. As for improvements, honestly, the feedback's been really positive. I haven't heard any specific areas that need work.""Compared to other tools like Linux, this solution isn't as user-friendly.""It cannot be on-prem. It is only cloud-based. Sometimes, that's a restriction in terms of usage.""One area that has room for improvement is in managing the credentials for network devices.""The product's threat protection and defense capabilities need enhancement."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "There's a yearly cost for licensing. For us, that comes to $1,400. There are no additional costs beyond the license itself."
  • More Bitdefender Hypervisor Introspection Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "licensing for this solution is based on the number of APV (privileged users), and the number of sessions that you want to record."
  • "I think that it was in the range of $200,000 that had to get approved."
  • "Pricing depends on how many devices you use. Right now, on-premise, it costs us a little, but it's worth it. It seems like the cloud solution is much more expensive. We got this solution one year ago, and it's like we bought the solution, and now they are not going to support it on-premise anymore. We are in the implementation phase, and we missed this, and we already paid for the licenses. This is wasted time from my perspective, and CyberArk should be more customer-friendly."
  • "The cost for CyberArk is very high."
  • "The price of CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager is expensive."
  • "The price of CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager is expensive. The solution is priced based on the number of accounts onboarded and the number of concurrent sessions. Everyone else is included in the price, such as support."
  • "We pay about $17 per user."
  • "CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager has a very high price, so it's a one out of ten for me in terms of pricing."

    Overview

Bitdefender Hypervisor Introspection (HVI) is the first security solution that is able to uncover memory violations that endpoint security tools sometimes miss by directly analyzing raw memory lines - thereby ensuring they are not being altered by malware.

CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager, a critical and foundational endpoint control addresses the underlying weaknesses of endpoint defenses against a privileged attacker and helps enterprises defend against these attacks through removing local admin rights, enforcing least privilege, and implementing foundational endpoint security controls across all Windows, macOS and Linux endpoints from hybrid to cloud environments.
