The solution is robust and affordable, but it needs to improve its scalability and visibility of integrations
The initial setup is easy. It is very simple to start with. The last release from Axway provided many ways to simplify and speed up integration. The solution is deployed on the cloud and on-premises. We use Google, Amazon, and Azure as our cloud providers. The time taken for deployment is very short because the tool is robust.

Integration workflows have become transparent and secure while error tracking is streamlined
The best features in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform for me are transparency between logging in or deploying and using different environments. Managing different environments for the transparency of error logins or how to trace traceability is very important. It's very easy to use and sort, so you can see where everything has gone right and everything has gone wrong. I'm aware of the drag-and-drop interface in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, and it's very, very quick. It's very time-saving and very efficient. The security features on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform help maintain data integrity in my organization; I would say it's second to none. It's one of the best out there that I have worked with because of the encryption and decryption, and there are a lot of security aspects. I would assess the platform's data mapping and transformation capabilities as amazing. Automation has been straightforward; the transformation and mapping have been easy to use, easy to source, and from the source to the target. I would say it has been very good.

Pros

"The most valuable feature is that API Gateway is extremely flexible for any feature, such as connecting to Active Directory to pull the users and their authentication information."
"Axway AMPLIFY Application Integration is quite a stable solution."
"The product is robust."
"The most valuable feature is that API Gateway is extremely flexible for any feature, such as connecting to Active Directory to pull the users and their authentication information. There are three ways to connect to Active Directory, and the reason for this is that the computing environments of our customers are very different. Every feature in API Gateway has got multiple methodologies for accomplishing those tasks, which is important because customers are constantly changing their security models, IT models, networks, etc. API Gateway is very flexible. It is not a one size fits all sort of situation where it is very rigid, and you can only use these pull-down menus, and that's all it ever does. It is much more open than that. It can give you fabulous reports on your users, usage, security issues, and the data sets that are going through there. You'll suddenly have visibility on the movement of data within or between your organization and other organizations. The other thing is that you're connecting API to API, which is machine to machine. The things that were done manually in an Excel spreadsheet before exchanging data through email are now done machine to machine and server to server. It speeds up the velocity of your business."
"Axway AMPLIFY Application Integration is very easy to use."
"The API toolkit is the solution's most valuable aspect at this time, for our organization."
"The solution is very scalable with solid performance and the capability of extending it using any custom Java in case you don't have anything out of the box. MDP is strong. It is good compared to other products regarding its capabilities in managing or orchestrating the issue load."
"The product is very user-friendly."
"Initially, we faced challenges managing numerous scheduled jobs and duplicate entries in our SAP system. To address this, we developed a reusable component in Mule that all applications could use to interact with SAP."
"MuleSoft Anypoint Platform's most valuable features are its observability and stability."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is a huge list of available connectors for a lot of different platforms, which we can use very easily."
"The platform's cloud integration capabilities are good."
"The integration potential is excellent, it has a very good database, there is no complexity during the initial setup, the solution is scalable, the stability is great, we have found the documentation to be excellent, and it has very good filters available."

Cons

"The most important point to improve is the capability to deploy in large enterprises."
"The product must improve its visibility and scalability."
"The problem is the registry to configure the systems, and it's not really scalable for companies with offices worldwide."
"Because it is so flexible, you really need someone who knows Axway Gateway or has been through the training and is certified."
"Because it is so flexible, you really need someone who knows Axway Gateway or has been through the training and is certified. Just because you know APIs doesn't mean you're going to walk into that API Gateway and understand what to click on. If you're going to get something done quickly, you need to find an engineer from a company who has some experience with it. It is easy to learn, but if you're doing on-the-job training, it is going to take you longer to get your project accomplished."
"Unfortunately the documentation is not great."
"It has different types of subscriptions. For platinum or lower subscriptions, there are not too many things that can be done."
"It would be better if we had a clearer view of the solution's future releases."
"The high price of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"The platform's data integration tools need improvement on the processing side."
"Mule Anypoint Platform should improve its pricing. In my experience, a customer using the sandbox version couldn't upgrade to the final version because it exceeded their budget. Another area for improvement is the login mechanism. We need to integrate with third-party products for strong authentication, but it would be better if MuleSoft had its own robust login mechanism."
"The solution is very costly. The solution should provide a package with fewer capabilities at a lower price for specific companies that don’t have a big IT budget. Not every customer requires all the capabilities of the software. It will be a good fit in the market, and they will easily sell it more."
"Price-wise, it is a good product since it is reasonably priced...Mule Anypoint Platform can get too complex for non-technical people."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Users need to pay an annual licensing fee for the solution."
"The product is not expensive."
"API Gateway is priced on the number of transactions you run through it. API Gateway is free, and you can install as many API Gateways as you like or are necessary for your network. For example, if all of the data is inside your network or firewall, you may just need one API Gateway. If you have external customers trying to come into your organization through your firewall, you're going to need one API Gateway outside the firewall and one inside the firewall. If you have a lot of remote offices, you may want to put API Gateway in some of those offices as well. They only charge you for your usage of it. In other words, the number of transactions going through it. That's a good benefit."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing as four or five out of ten."
"The solution is the priciest in the market which is an issue for some clients."
"The licensing is core-based. My customers tell me that it's very expensive compared to the cost of other integration suites."
"The product's price seems to be competent in comparison to other products in the market."
"The product is still very expensive."
"Licensing can be complex as is the case with most iPaaS/cloud offerings."
"I can't give you a straightforward answer because sometimes it depends on the usage. If you're going to have fewer than 5 million messages, it is free of cost. If you're going to have more than 5 million messages, they're going to charge $100 per month"
"Regarding pricing, I believe there could be room for improvement to align with user expectations."
