Weekly insights and risk analysis facilitate informed security decisions
I appreciate the weekly insights Zafran provides, which include critical topics for networks and IT security, allowing us to evaluate which insights apply to our environment. The organization score feature is valuable to keep the leadership team updated on how our infrastructure fares security-wise. The applicable risk level versus base risk level feature is beneficial because prior to Zafran, we only used the base risk level, but now understand that risk depends on the asset itself. Zafran is an excellent tool.

Attractive automated reports with boost user productivity and an easy setup
The primary use is mainly related to vulnerability assessment, including both public and internal IP addresses By using this tool, we have reduced the workload and increased the productivity of users. It generates automated reports. This feature is beneficial when sharing reports with clients as…

Penetration testing adapts to our schedule with cloud integration
The NodeZero Platform ( /products/the-nodezero-platform-reviews ) has a great cost, and its usability is straightforward. It can be deployed in the cloud. There is an on-premise container that I need to spin up to allow it to run in my environment, but it is automatically updated because it is cloud-based. It uses AI to try and gain access to my network and learns from the environment as it goes, providing a report on vulnerabilities, and demonstrates how their system exploits them to either elevate privilege or gain access to specific credentials or devices.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Zafran has become an indispensable tool in our cybersecurity arsenal."
"Zafran is an excellent tool."
"We are able to see the real risk of a vulnerability on our environment with our security tools."
"We use the solution for the scanning of vulnerabilities like SQL injections."
"The usability and overall scan results are good."
"For us, the most valuable aspect of the solution is the log-sequence feature."
"Their technical support has been very active. If I have an issue, I can reach out to them and get an answer pretty quick."
"Acunetix has an awesome crawler. It gives a referral site map of near targets and also goes really deep to find all the inputs without issues. This was valuable because it helped me find some files or directories, like web admin panels without authentication, which were hidden."
"The scalability is good. The scalability is more than good because it can operate both as a standalone and it can be integrated as part of applications. So that really makes it a very, very versatile solution to have."
"I haven't seen reporting of that level in any other tool."
"It's very user-friendly for the testing teams. It's very easy for them to understand things and to fix vulnerabilities."
"Penetration testing and scans are useful features."
"Overall, I'd rate NodeZero at nine to 9.5 out of ten."

Cons

"Initially, we were somewhat concerned about the scalability of Zafran due to our large asset count and the substantial amount of information we needed to process."
"It would be nice to have a feature to "retest" only a single vulnerability that the customer reports as patched, and delete it from the next scans since it has already been patched."
"It should be easier to recreate something manually, with the manual tool, because Acunetix is an automatic tool. If it finds something, it should be easier to manually replicate it. Sometimes you don't get the raw data from the input and output, so that could be improved."
"There's a clear need for a reduction in pricing to make the service more accessible."
"In terms of what needs improvement, the way the licensing model is currently is not very convenient for us because initially, when we bought it, the licensing model was very flexible, but now it restricts us."
"I rate its stability six out of ten."
"We have had issues during upgrades where their scans worked on some apps better with previous versions. Then, we had to work with their tech support, who were great, to get it fixed for the next version."
"Acunetix needs to include agent analysis."
"The solution limits the number of scans. It would be much better if we could have unlimited scans."
"The reports are quite useless."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"I would say that Acunetix is expensive because there are products on the market with similar features that are equally or better-priced."
"It is a bit expensive. If you need to check five applications, you have to pay almost 14,000. It is an agreement for two years at 7,000 per year for only five applications. You cannot change the applications in the license. So, you are stuck with the same license for the five applications for one full year."
"Acunetix was around the same price as all the other vendors we looked at, nothing special."
"The solution is expensive."
"When compared with other products, the pricing is a little bit high. But it gives value for the price. It serves the purpose and is worthwhile for the price we pay."
"All things considered, I think it has a good price/value ratio."
"The price is exceptionally high."
"The pricing is a little high, and moreover, it's kind of domain-based."
