Apart from employees we have 10,000 students on campus. It’s really costs a fortune to buy edge security devices. I’m always in favour of Pfsense or onesense but web filtering is a must so as app filtering . Can Pfsense handle ? If yes please enhance my knowledge

Answered a question: Which would you recommend to your boss, Fortinet FortiGate or Sophos UTM?

UTMs are being used by people, who wants to lead a simple life without any hassles. Therefore Sophos are simple to use with better visibility over fortigate. We have both at our campus and hence comparison was easy to do.
