Microsoft Authenticator is as easy as Google Authenticator, but it is not open to all types of applications. Google Authenticator is integrated with other third-party platforms and applications, whereas Microsoft Authenticator is not. It should have more integration with third-party platforms and applications.

We switched to Duo Security for identity verification. We’d been using a competitor but got the chance to evaluate Duo for 30 days, and we could not be happier. Duo Security is easy to configure and manage. You can easily log in with a more intuitive user interface. The feature list is very complete, and it can help with issues like compromised accounts. Duo has been vital in improving the level of security in our organization. We’ve got users working from remote locations, and Duo makes it very easy for them to connect and access our systems. Our staff can log in to the system via the cellphone app and generate a passcode with a single click. The logging is very comprehensive. Duo has Cisco’s support, which is extremely good. The support was quick and easy to follow up. If you need advanced identity verification, such as multi-factor authentication, Duo is a great choice. The price runs a bit high, though. They could also add reporting when a device was last used. Microsoft Authenticator is a multifactor authentication application for mobile. It gives secure access to online accounts, giving an extra layer of security. It is a great fit for companies with remote or traveling employees, and it is stable. The downside is that MS Authenticator doesn’t integrate with other third-party platforms or applications. So, if you don’t run on MS products, it is probably better to go with another solution. Conclusions Both solutions provide high-level user authentication, so it is not easy to choose one over the other. I think the main differentiator is the third-party integration and the ease of use. Unless you are already working with MS products, I would recommend Duo. It is easier to use and more intuitive.
