I'm mainly focused on autonomous databases.
We are a software-based company. We develop custom applications for our customers. We are currently customers of Oracle but working on forming a partnership with Oracle Cloud Singapore. I'm a cloud engineer.
We use this solution to connect the API to our Oracle database.
Right now we're using two cloud platforms, one being Oracle Cloud Platform and the other Microsoft Azure. We've been using Oracle Cloud Platform since 2018 and Azure since 2015. We use Oracle Cloud Platform with the OCI Infrastructure as a Service offerings, and we're essentially using it for the compute instances and nothing else. We have deployed some servers running Oracle Linux which are being used as our main development environment. Then, we also have servers for our UAT (User Acceptance Testing) environment. Neither of these use cases are for production environments, and they are only used for development and testing. To access Oracle Cloud Platform, we have a VPN site-to-site connection from our site to Oracle Cloud. We don't have the FastConnect option because we don't have a very good reason to use it. As for users, we typically have around 20 people who are connected to the Oracle environment and who do their work on it. Regarding maintenance, we have three people on technical staff for that, who are DBAs and architects.
We are solutions implementors. My first project was an e-commerce platform and mobile application for clients where clients could check credit cards and their status. It's information about the last products purchased. We used the Oracle Cloud Platform for this.
We use the Oracle Cloud to migrate workloads from customers on-premise to the cloud.
We are both users as well as a company of consultants who do the implementations of the product for customers. In comparison to an on-premises solution, I am going to say that simply the ease-of-implementation and ease-of-usage are the primary uses for us. The options and ease of deploying the cloud product make opportunities for us to work in different ways with our customers.
We primarily deliver the solution to a variety of companies, including those involved in automotive logistics.
I have created some database instances, and I also use IAM. I have also used the portal. We have a private cloud deployment.
Our primary use case is the delivery and implementation of Oracle Cloud Platform for customers.
We are using the public model of this solution. We have a strong Oracle investment in data within our reporting platform. This was a logical extension because Oracle provides seamless integration. That's why we picked it.
We are not using the solution ourselves internally but for our customers.
I want to get OCA for Java, so I am using it for practice.
We are using the LAN2 as well as the Oracle Cloud Platform. We running the Gen-2 which is called the OC2. We have a global company working with more than 185 employees. We have customers around the globe and our company is located in 17 international locations. We needed solutions which could be good for our customers as well as our service applications. We have decided to test the Oracle Cloud Platform. After the testing, we found that it was good for our use case. Thereafter, we have adopted it. The POC for Oracle Cloud Platform is done. After POC, we have tested with various applications and found it is optimizing us with less time, so that's why we are using it.
Our primary use case of this solution is to do implementations on the cloud like Oracle Application, PeopleSoft, and E-Business Suite.
