Threaded collaboration has transformed how our team tracks tickets and monitors automation updates
One suggestion I would make for improving Slack Business - Enterprise is the support of multimedia such as images and videos that we can easily share through Slack. That would be great. Additionally, another thing is AI integration; if Slack has some AI capabilities to get insights about conversations or summarization, that would be a great feature. If Slack has an AI feature that can summarize a particular Slack thread and provide a summary of that, that would be a great feature for us. I would rate it a ten if it comes with some AI features, particularly using generative AI to produce summarization and other kinds of insights from communication in a more secure, data-secure way.

The gaps in the API are filled by our own R+D and the publish mechanism is very reliable.
The API is awful. We needed to develop a batch load tool in order to send automated events to Tibber API. The current API version is not well documented, i.e. the current version of the API in the software doesn't correspond to the web-documented API. We had to imagine parameters and names. We had difficulty making it all work, as the login/SSO mechanism was not properly explained so that we could perform external logins to the API and use their features.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Slack has helped to increase the productivity of my teams and organization."
"Tasks and team huddles are the most valuable features of Slack."
"The solution's most valuable feature is the search functionality, which I can use to search for full text."
"I think Slack is a very creative application to help unify communication across all team sizes."
"The product is easy to use."
"The interface looks better to me, it is more easy to use, and everything is working okay for our purposes."
"Slack is a very collaborative tool that makes it easier for me to communicate with the onboarding and billing teams."
"In terms of setup, approaching its menu is simple."
"Typically the classical ROI is about seven months from full deployment, but there are a lot of benefits that we can't measure with this metric, like more dissemination of knowledge, fast internal expert finding, less internal emails, less waste of time, and better employee engagement."
"The gaps in the API are filled by our own R+D and the publish mechanism is very reliable."

Cons

"I would like to see a special feature for multiple people to collaborate on a document, working on it at the same time."
"It could be more stable than one of its competitors."
"I want a feature in the solution that will help me share documents only with the set of people that I prefer rather than all of them. I would also like the solution to have a feature similar to Microsoft SharePoint where you can group all your documents."
"Its capabilities to provide security features could be better for corporations."
"I think the login feature needs to be improved most because I've been having an issue with logging in to the desktop app for more than six months, but still, it's not been resolved."
"Slack is not as strong as competitors like Teams when it comes to things like video meetings and audio meetings."
"It would be highly advantageous if it could incorporate calendar information from sources like Outlook or Gmail, providing users not only with meeting schedules but also a comprehensive daily agenda view."
"Slack does not have videoconferencing capabilities, which would have been nice."
"The API is awful."
"More customizable features, particularly in mobile app; better preview of document and images stored in other cloud services (like Google Drive, Dropbox and so on)."
