We saw time to value within two weeks of implementing the solution, which strengthened our use cases
We use FortiAI, FortiSIEM, and FortiEDR Fortinet helped us scale large-scale deals with clients because of its strong offerings. Fortinet is very straightforward to use. I have access to a lot of technical resources, and I have been able to use them effectively. Fortinet has helped free up around…

Reduces the time to detect and respond with moderate pricing
Seqrite has significantly reduced the time it takes to detect and respond The solution should focus on security, documentation, and simplicity for beginners. I have been using Seqrite Endpoint Security Cloud for one and a half years. I rate the solution’s stability a seven out of ten. 100…

It integrates well with other solutions, but the vendor needs more of a local presence and faster response
You do not have access to all the features when you use the Trellix web interface. For example, you cannot do device or drive encryption from the web interface. Also, when we're working with customers, it's sometimes challenging to get sales support. Delays mean we might lose an opportunity. Lastly, Trellix lacks some documentation about custom features. I would like to see Trellix add database activity monitoring. They don't have a plan for this, and there isn't a significant roadmap around it. They have an enterprise service manager, which is sort of like a SIEM, but there is no roadmap. I want to see a clearer roadmap for integrating specific critical solutions like PAM and other things, too.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Fortinet FortiEDR made our clients feel secure and more at ease, knowing that they had an EDR solution that would close the gap in their security posture."
"It is stable and scalable."
"It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."
"The solution was relatively easy to deploy."
"The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers."
"The product's initial setup phase is very easy."
"Fortinet has helped free up around 20 percent of our staff's time to help us out."
"We have FortiEDR installed on all our systems. This protects them from any threats."
"Seqrite has significantly reduced the time it takes to detect and respond."
"The solution installs very easily."
"It has a feature called Isolation. If a device is compromised, we can connect it to our SOC, and no one would be able to access it. This way we can limit the damage to the network while we are investigating."
"The independent modules are very good."
"The platform’s most valuable features are ease of use, integration, and deployment."
"Trellix integrates well with most SIEM and data classification solutions."
"The technical support services are good."
"The exploit guard and malware protection features are very useful. The logon tracker feature is also very useful. They have also given new modules such as logout backup, process backup. We ordered these modules from the FireEye market place, and we have installed these modules. We are currently exploring these features."
"Provides protection against threats."
"I found the initial setup to be easy."

Cons

"We'd like to see more one-to-one product presentations for the distribution channels."
"FortiEDR can be improved by providing more detailed reporting."
"Cannot be used on mobile devices with a secure connection."
"The solution is not user-friendly."
"They can include the automation for the realtime updates. We have a network infrastructure with remote sites. Whenever they send updates, they are not automated. We have to go into the console and push those updates. I wish it was more automated. The update file is currently around 31 MB. It could be smaller."
"I think cloud security and SASE are areas of concern in the product where improvements are required. The tool's cloud version has to be improved in terms of the security it offers."
"We've encountered challenges during API deployment, occasionally resulting in unstable environments."
"The dashboard isn't easy to access and manage."
"The solution should focus on security, documentation, and simplicity for beginners."
"The security is too week and needs improvement."
"From an improvement perspective, I want everything in the solution to be free."
"I would like to see more local integration for the applications that we use."
"The price of McAfee MVISION Endpoint could improve."
"One suggestion is they should reduce the constant notifications. Whenever I open my laptop, there are too many notifications from McAfee, and it gets annoying."
"The way that signatures work when using this solution could be improved. They could be more user friendly. We would like the ability to select a client's signature from a menu or file share to save time."
"The solution lacks device control."
"Intrusion detection and intervention seem to be falling behind the competition."
"I would like to see more automation."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I'm not familiar with pricing, but it looks a bit costly compared to other vendors I think."
"The hardware costs about €100,000 and about €20,000 annually for access."
"I know it is tough to get big budget additions up front, but I highly recommend deploying environment wide and adding the forensic service."
"The solution is not expensive."
"The pricing is good."
"It's moderately priced, neither cheap nor expensive."
"We got a good deal on licensing, so it is in the competitive range."
"Fortinet FortiEDR has a yearly subscription."
Information not available
"Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) is not a cheap solution...I don't think any costs are involved in the maintenance of the solution."
"It is not so cheap in comparison to Sophos and other solutions."
"The current pricing is much better than before because they now offer product-related promotions along with some changes in product licensing. The new pricing model is better than before."
"It is based on an annual subscription."
"Pricing for McAfee MVISION Endpoint is not very good, and I would rate its cost three out of five, though I won't be able to mention how much its actual price is."
"It is a yearly subscription-based product, which includes the license and hardware. There is also a subscription for technical support up to five years."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"Microsoft Defender is not cheap and from a cost perspective, Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) is a better option."
