Unified risk scoring has improved our cloud visibility and simplifies remediation priorities
Qualys TotalCloud provides unified vulnerability and threat assessment across both IAS and SaaS. This solution provides a single prioritized view of risk, which helps reduce the work I would have to do. We are no longer based on CVSS; we are based on Qualys risk scoring, which is based on CVSS plus internal findings made by Qualys, and then assigns its own score. The TruRisk insight feature has found a small number of assets with high vulnerability scores, though I am cautious since some information is classified. Qualys TotalCloud has positively impacted our bank's performance, and we have definitely seen benefits after implementing this solution.

Governance dashboards have improved risk visibility but still need smarter automated decisions
The governance part is the most prominent area for improvement. We want to have a dashboard with just one click where the KPIs are pre-configured as per the business requirement and those things are monitored on a regular basis to check how things are moving. Governance and high-level management or board level visibility matter the most. We are trying to incorporate artificial models which can take care of many things that are currently taken care of manually or through certain jobs so that they can be automated with the help of AI models or agents. We will progress as the AI model matures with pattern learning and all those things. We want self-decision capabilities. Not just analysis and giving alerts, but even taking decisions of actions and performing those actions. The first step would be to not only alert that there is an issue or threat, but to evaluate the threat itself in generality and suggest something. The second step is where those suggestions will definitely have some good minds working on them, but only if they are suitable will we make it as a learning model. Otherwise, we will discard and modify those things. The second level would be to let the learning model learn and then gradually figure out whether we can delegate the decision in the sense of the action that they can perform, see it and then evaluate whether it is falling in line as per the expectation. This is how we will progress on a use case basis only.

Advanced rollback and AI-driven insights have protected endpoints and simplified security operations
We can check multiple types of alerts and triggers, and we can analyze these. There are many types of functions such as Kill, Quarantine, and remediate rollback types of features, which we can use for client safety. The rollback feature is the best feature because it is only used in SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security. We have used multiple types of EDR, but the rollback feature is unique to SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security. When many types of attacks happen in an organization, the rollback feature deletes all types of malicious files and other malware-type files and completely cleans your system. This feature is very interesting according to me. SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security provides many types of features such as Kill and Quarantine, which are very interesting features for security operations. There are deep visibility features, and Purple AI is also one of the best features. It is easy for security operations and incident response. We can check log analysis with the help of deep visibility, and any types of attacks, malware, and phishing attacks are detected by SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security. Many types of security operations can be tracked and observed with the help of SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security. Purple AI is one of the interesting features in SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security. Deep visibility is one of the best features in SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security. You can find any types of logs and any types of devices through searching portals, similar to Google search. It gives you information regarding this. With deep visibility, you can search for any name. For example, we can search for any name and check what is happening with that person's laptops, what USB is connected or disconnected, and whether the network is connected or not. This is with the help of Purple AI.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Qualys TotalCloud's most valuable features are its cloud security posture management, Kubernetes, and container security capabilities."
"Vulnerability and threat detection and assessment of the criticality of the vulnerabilities exposed are most valuable."
"The dashboards are particularly valuable as they offer a comprehensive view of the environment, highlighting any misconfigurations."
"The scalability is good as well. I would rate it ten out of ten."
"If someone were to ask me to review Qualys TotalCloud, I would summarize it as an end-to-end solution for cloud security with visibility and governance-grade controls without needing to manage multiple disconnected tools."
"The agent and agentless scanning in TotalCloud, particularly the FlexScan method, is incredibly valuable. With traditional scanning approaches, we had to give IP ranges and whitelist IPs. All that is now simplified. FlexScan requires minimal intervention, and after configuration, it automatically collects data and performs necessary scans."
"I would rate Qualys TotalCloud ten out of ten."
"The best feature would be the ability to create policies. It is easy to control and update policies as required."
"Qualys Enterprise TruRisk Platform is on the cusp of a lot of new advances that they bring to the table, which is what we also appreciate."
"Qualys Enterprise TruRisk Platform was helpful with threat prioritization features for resource allocation, and it played a good role in our analysis and day-to-day monitoring."
"Qualys offers versatility. It can function both with and without agents, offering flexibility in deployment. Furthermore, it provides comprehensive support for various systems such as Windows Server, Unix servers, and databases, including SQL, Oracle, and others for development."
"The favorite feature of Qualys Enterprise TruRisk Platform is that it provides the whole information of a particular vulnerability, including a comprehensive summary, related CVEs and CVSS score, which helps understand potential risks and allows the output to be exported in various formats like CSV, PDF, or JSON."
"Qualys Enterprise TruRisk Platform is considered a good leader in its field."
"Qualys Enterprise TruRisk Platform has impacted my organization positively by helping us prioritize risks and mitigate them one after the other, classifying risks based on critical, high, and medium so we can look at them effectively."
"Qualys Enterprise TruRisk Platform is a fantastic tool; it is kind of expensive, but it is indispensable, and it is not something that we can do away with."
"The most valuable feature of SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security is its advanced AI and machine learning capabilities, which allow it to identify and respond to threats in real time."
"I rate SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security ten out of ten."
"Atlas security graph is pretty cool. It maps out relationships between components on AWS, like load balancers and servers. This helps visualize potential attack paths and even suggests attack paths a malicious actor might take."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security offers several valuable features, most notably the rapid vulnerability notifications that provide timely alerts regarding our infrastructure."
"It is fairly simple. Anybody can use it."
"The UI and the widgets are what I personally appreciate. I find it easy to use."
"The agentless vulnerability scanning is great."
"I did a lot of research before signing up and doing the demo. They have a good reputation as far as catching threats early on."

Cons

"I think Qualys TotalCloud needs to improve its handling of zero-day vulnerabilities and supply chain management because modern ransomware attacks not only target prime critical infrastructures but also the supply chain system."
"The areas in the solution that have room for improvement include the UI/UX design, which should be improved, and they should integrate more artificial intelligence into the product."
"The patching process with Qualys Patch Management, which is part of TotalCloud, does not cover installing certain prerequisites on the servers or workstations. This shortcoming means we must rely on SCCM when any service stack updates or additional prerequisites are needed."
"TotalCloud could improve its scanning of niche devices like Wi-Fi dongles and USB modems because they are often untested. It covers everything else, like laptops, mobile devices, and Bluetooth IoT devices. They can improve on the small IoT devices because hackers and testers use these."
"There is a lack of data segregation according to criticality or inventory."
"Two areas for improvement in Qualys TotalCloud are the speed of the public cloud platform and vulnerability detection."
"Qualys TotalCloud needs to enhance its scanning capabilities in the IP domain, as it currently lacks the functionality to resolve IPs to their corresponding domain names."
"Their customer support needs improvement."
"Compared to Microsoft, there were already advanced tools, so I had seen some drawbacks compared to licensing or technical side."
"There are areas for improvement in their support structure."
"The experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Qualys Enterprise TruRisk Platform is expensive."
"Once we supplied 130 URLs to it for scanning one by one, and it crashed in between. We did not have any clue what happened, so we had to reach out to support."
"The report sometimes inaccurately identifies the corresponding operating system version."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security takes four to five hours to detect and highlight an issue, and that time should be reduced."
"The Automation tab is an add-on that doesn’t work properly. They provide a list of scripts that don’t work and I have asked support to assist but they won’t help. When running on various endpoints the script doesn’t work and if it does, it’s only a couple. There are a lot of useful scripts that would be beneficial to run forensics, event logs, and process lists running on the endpoint."
"I have not seen a return on my investment so far."
"We can customize security policies but lack auditing capabilities."
"We wanted it to provide us with something like Claroty Hub in AWS for lateral movement. For example, if an EC2 instance or a virtual machine is compromised in a public subnet based on a particular vulnerability, such as Log4j, we want it to not be able to reach some of our databases. This kind of feature is not supported in SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security."
"There should be more documentation about the product."
"There is room for improvement in application security posture management features, and SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security is on the costlier side."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security has limited legacy system support and may not fully support older operating systems or legacy environments."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost is high, but it meets our organizational needs."
"Qualys TotalCloud offers competitive pricing given its comprehensive suite of features, including integration, assessment, remediation, and detection capabilities, all within a single platform."
"I am not sure about the pricing. From what I understand, it is a bit on the higher side, but I do not have the exact numbers."
"TotalCloud's price is about right where I would expect it to be."
"Qualys TotalCloud offers good pricing that is affordable and competitive with the market. Our partnership also provides us with additional benefits."
"The pricing is comparable. It is built into our other product, so I cannot piecemeal it. It is a part of our subscription."
"Although Qualys TotalCloud is relatively expensive due to its unique automation features, its cost-effectiveness is rated an eight out of ten, with ten being the most costly."
"Qualys TotalCloud offers cost-effective licensing flexibility."
Information not available
"It is not that expensive. There are some tools that are double the cost of PingSafe. It is good on the pricing side."
"SentinelOne is quite costly compared to other security platforms."
"PingSafe is fairly priced."
"PingSafe's primary advantage is its ability to consolidate multiple tools into a single user interface, but, beyond this convenience, it may not offer significant additional benefits to justify its price."

"The tool is cost-effective."
"For pricing, it currently seems to be in line with market rates."
"Singularity Cloud Workload Security's pricing is good."
