A low-code/no-code platform with a user-friendly UI
We couldn't implement or use some of the latest functionalities, like Spark. Palantir Foundry is scalable, but it is costly compared to other cloud providers. The solution is more suitable for small and medium businesses. It might be difficult for large enterprises. I rate the solution’s scalability a seven out of ten.

User-friendly, enables remote monitoring, and increases productivity
We built a detector dashboard. We set the upper and lower limits and check if things are operating within that limit. For example, if the upper limit is 75 and the lower limit is 50, and the trend is between these limits, the dashboard must show it as green. If it is below or above the operating levels, it must show a red color. There are 100 parameters. If such a dashboard is built, it will be very useful. We only have to validate and analyze the parameters in red. We need not check the green ones. It is a revolutionary concept. We can see increasing trends in vibration parameters using predictive analysis. We can easily find out how many days the trend will hit the upper or lower limits. Since we have time, we can inform the on-site team that monitors it. For example, we can inform the team that the lube oil tank level will drop to the lower limit within a month. So, the team gets one month’s time to top up the level easily. Such predictive analytics is very useful to the industry.

Pros

"The predictive analytics capability within Palantir Foundry impacts financial forecasting strategies through its AIP functionality, which includes numerous pre-built models, LLMs, and data science application libraries."
"Palantir Foundry is a robust platform that has really strong plugin connectors and provides features for real-time integration."
"The interface is really user-friendly."
"The ease of use is my favorite feature. We're able to build different models and projects or combine different projects to build one use case."
"The AI engine that comes with Palantir Foundry is quite interesting."
"I rate Palantir Foundry a ten out of ten."
"It's scalable."
"Great features available in one tool."
"AI is great in Seeq. You have a good feature that allows you to convert a Python algorithm built in Seeq Data Lab into a user-friendly interface."
"I love how easy Seeq is to use and how quickly you can build an analysis. I've worked in the manufacturing industry for over 30 years, setting up data collection systems to record historical data. Usually, we were trending that data, which isn't very valuable. Being able actually to find value in historical data with Seeq has been great. It's quick and easy to set up monitoring and eliminate nuisance alarms. For example, process alarms typically go off mid-batch when adding materials, causing things to go out of spec. This used to create hundreds of nuisance alarms, but the tool reduces it to just the important ones."
"I like Seeq because it’s very useful for production surveillance. It provides detailed insights, like the ability to view data down to the minute, which is helpful for tracking when a well goes offline. This feature is particularly beneficial for our needs. However, we don’t use Seeq for predictive analytics; we handle that with other software."
"The tool's most valuable feature is connectivity and visualization. Seeq is a very good product for analyzing time series data using its time intelligence and time performance features."
"The product is stable."
"The solution is very scalable."
"It's an analytical tool, so it supports all the analytical problems. That is the reason we chose Seeq."
"The tool is user-friendly."

Cons

"The startup pricing is high, causing concern despite being cost-effective in terms of total cost of ownership."
"The solution could use more online documentation for new users."
"It would be helpful to build applications based on Azure functions or web apps in Palantir Foundry."
"If you want to create new models on specific data sets, computing that is quite costly."
"The major hindrance with Palantir Foundry is that being a very closed product, the cost optimization and costing are not exposed to the end users."
"There is not a wide user base for the solution's online documentation so it is sometimes difficult to find answers."
"They do not have a data center in Europe, and we have lots of personally identifiable information in our dataset that needs to be hosted by a third-party data center like Amazon or Microsoft Azure."
"It requires a lot of manual work and is very time-consuming to get to a functional point."
"Regarding AI, I wish Seeq had AI capabilities. For instance, if Seeq could analyze graphs and offer recommendations, it would be advantageous. Currently, there is no AI feature in Seeq. In terms of improvements, it would be great if Seeq could enhance its data export features and possibly integrate more functionalities to reduce the need for multiple software tools. I would like a specific feature related to predictive analysis, which Seeq currently lacks."
"Sometimes, we face a performance issue in Seeq."
"I have noticed that Seeq sometimes struggles with connectivity issues, leading to data gaps. This is an area that needs improvement. While connecting to data, sometimes, due to connection loss or issues with the tool itself, the tags may not display any trends, resulting in missing information."
"Seeq could work on the reporting format and dashboard."
"It would be wonderful if a time series model could be built with the thermodynamic package."
"The technical support services need improvement."
"The advanced functionality requires some training."
"In Seeq Organizer, we've realized that process engineers want dashboards with more drag-and-drop features, like Power BI."
