We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The data is stored in the cloud, making it easy to download data simultaneously into multiple smaller servers, effectively downsizing the process.""The solution is easy to manage and offers good integration. You can run all the tasks one by one which is really helpful, and pick the day and time to do so.""It's on the cloud, so it's scalable and quite easy to work with.""Oracle integration cloud has got the adapters for all their products, which makes integration faster.""Oracle Data Integrator helps us build tables and data marts and allows us to schedule them daily, for nearly real-time data warehousing.""Having a single vendor supporting the entire suite of applications.""The most valuable thing to me is its simplicity. A person with zero knowledge can also develop the integration without having extensive technology knowledgebase. They can also work on creating their own integration."

"Talend Data integration has a wide library of connectors.""The product's integration with PostgreSQL and Jira has been helpful for us. Its performance is good. However, we do not use it for large data sets.""I'm very passionate about this solution because if you look at any other tool that costs around $200 - $300,000, like Delphix which costs you a million dollars, Talend is very cheap and is almost is at par with what others can do. There is one thing which Delphix does which Talend cannot do, but overall, I would say apart from that, if you're looking for a solution, you should give it a try.""We have multiple use cases for this solution. We integrate with Salesforce, SAP and Oracle databases to build business logic and provide reporting."

Cons
"Bulk uploading can be a problem when you hit the upper limit.""It can be made much easier for users. They should be allowed to easily monitor the data extraction and flow, allowing them to observe real-time data flow within the software, making the process straightforward.""The pricing could be more competitive.""This is an expensive solution compared to other products on the market.""I've found technical support not very effective. They should work to improve their services.""It's lacking a lot of mapping features that Oracle OSB and SOA have. It needs to evolve a lot.""I would like to see different cloud adapters or connectors in case of integration. When you have Oracle to Oracle, they are good. They have really good connectors, but if it is a different ERP, like Obsidian, that is where they are faced with problems in OIC."

"There are no concurrent licenses, they only have seat licenses on cloud. That's the whole challenge. For example, if in any project your headcount increases or decreases, you do not have that concurrence and you have a seat license, you run into challenges because you have to procure a few more licenses for getting the job done.""Sometimes there are bugs which are unidentified and we have to follow-up with the Talend team to resolve them. In a critical situation, it takes time for them to update patches.""Due to using the open-source version of Talend Data Integration, which lacks a scheduler, our current approach involves developing jobs in Talend, exporting them as Java packages, and utilizing an external scheduler, such as Windows Scheduler, to manage the scheduling process.""The tool's technical support needs to be better. It doesn't have a local data center but pushes everything to the cloud. They need to check in with customers to see if they're happy and how well the solutions work. They need to assign a customer success manager for the accounts they sell."
