An easy-to-setup solution with good stability
We use Jitterbit to connect cloud solutions with our on-premises ERP system We connect cloud solutions to our on-premise ERP system easily using Jitterbit. It is its most valuable feature.  The solution's API management capabilities need improvement. We have been using the solution for almost…

Offers good UI, efficient and quick when it comes to integration and does not require much intervention from our end
The problem is that SnapLogic doesn't offer a wide variety of connectors. For example, integrating with Salesforce is not that easy, unlike with MuleSoft, which is much easier and also provides a development kit allowing developers to customize or create their own connectors. But SnapLogic lacks this feature. So, it's not easily customizable. For very complex integrations, like those involving 10 input systems and 20 output systems with a variety of data transformations, I wouldn't recommend SnapLogic. You will feel lost somewhere. When dealing with such complex integrations, you often encounter issues managing large datasets. SnapLogic recommends breaking the process into smaller pieces and then deploying them, but sometimes, our requirements are different and require handling multiple systems simultaneously. In future releases, I would like to see better customization. Currently, we have certain connectors, and if we need to build on top of those— tailor them more closely to our business needs—then customization becomes necessary. But here, that process is a bit tricky. I want it to be simpler.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The Cloud Console for monitoring and troubleshooting data operations."
"It is a scalable solution."
"It runs like an appliance and has tremendous throughput."
"Jitterbit provides the ability to quickly map data between files and databases."
"The fluid user interface (probably the most user friendly interface, when compared to its competitors)."
"We only use small parts of the solution, however, the parts that we use are quite adequate."
"It is very easy to build integrations and processes to pull and push data."
"Jitterbit handles the most lines of data in a .csv and loads the quickest of any data loader I have tried."
"The vendor handles the maintenance of the solution"
"The feature I found most valuable in SnapLogic is low-code development. Low-code development has been very useful for simple processes, which is required for business users such as extracting details from a file or getting things reported by calling your web service. Calling your web service also becomes easier with SnapLogic because of the snaps available, so if you have the documentation, you can call an API. You don't have to write all those clients to call an API, so that is another feature I found very easy in SnapLogic. Configuring and managing all the file systems also become very handy with the solution."
"The solutions ability to connect "snaps" or components to the graphic user interface is very intuitive, prevents errors, and makes implementations easy."
"SnapLogic is more user-friendly than Boomi in terms of debugging. You can move the mouse to a place, and it will record and show the data easily."
"The product is easy to use and has many connectivity options."
"By using snaps instead of functions in code, you can see the building blocks of the integration visually. This helps a lot."
"An important tool for building prototypes and MVPs than can seamlessly turn into production jobs"
"The API architecture makes it easy for orchestration."

Cons

"You need to have some development skills or hire a Jitterbit engineer to make changes."
"Its API management capabilities need improvement."
"There were some bugs in the product. For example if you run a delete query and test, it deletes the actual data."
"Sometimes we experience disconnections and I have to close all Jitterbit programs."
"The initial setup can be a little bit difficult."
"I know with Salesforce updating the UI like they did, it slowed it down a lot."
"I would like the ability to offer a dedicated cloud version for security."
"In the past few months, there have been some server downtimes during work hours that have affected some critical scheduled integrations."
"The support is the most important improvement they could make."
"SnapLogic should have some inbuilt protocol mechanism in order to speed up."
"The problem is that SnapLogic doesn't offer a wide variety of connectors. For example, integrating with Salesforce is not that easy."
"I don't think the support has better knowledge about technologies and tool support. There were lots of times when we had an issue, and it took me quite a long time to explain the problem. I feel like some of the support staff don't know their product well."
"SnapLogic doesn't provide any on-premises software, so users have only cloud-based software to use."
"Ultra Pipelines provides real-time ingestion but it needs some adjustment."
"The dashboards regarding scheduled tasks need further improvement."
"There is room for improvement with APM management and how task execution looks."
