Reliable network operations improved by seamless technology, though efficiency could benefit from reduced manual tasks
Aruba products have significantly improved our network reliability, as none of my teammates have logged a call to Aruba in the past year. The performance, elasticity, and efficiency of Aruba products have been exceptional. Extreme Ethernet fabric technology offers less administrative effort in extending VLANs due to its loop-free environment. We have been satisfied with this robust performance.

Monitoring solution provides comprehensive visibility across IT infrastructure
The good thing about Nagios Core is it covers everything. Everything in the IT domain, you can monitor anything. You can even monitor printers, the ports of printers, Core workstations, and storage. You can monitor the workflow Core and the utilization of computes. If you want to grasp everything of your IT equipment on a single interface, you can use Nagios. It's the best one. It provides dashboards, and you can also configure your emails and alerts with it. If something is critical, you can configure it to notify via emails. It has a very handy dashboard, providing live alerts and visibility for everything.

Pros

"The performance, elasticity, and efficiency of Aruba products have been exceptional."
"Aruba products have significantly improved our network reliability, as none of my teammates have logged a call to Aruba in the past year."
"The integration of HPE Aruba Networking UXI with other security and networking tools is quite robust, allowing us to collect information from firewalls, routers, access points, and more, and present it through Grafana to proactively address issues before clients open support tickets."
"There was definitely an ROI with the use cases I have had; when you see that the network issues and trouble tickets that are opening start to decrease, that is where your ROI starts coming in regarding productivity."
"The most valuable feature of HP Aruba Networking UX-I is its 24/7 monitoring capability."
"HPE Aruba Networking UXI's remote troubleshooting capabilities help me manage my distributed networks in a great way because we are not relying on user input and are relying on real facts from HPE Aruba Networking UXI devices that are placed end-of-line on all our factories."
"The most valuable feature of Nagios Core is it allows us to develop and add as many plugins as we want."
"We mostly use Nagios Core to integrate with Python and Bash Script."
"The notifications are definitely one of the most valuable features of Nagios Core. We know what to look for and what to expect when things are down."
"Other products are good but from the configuration point of view Nagios is really very lightweight. The price is really good in my opinion. Another important thing is that my Nagios engine still works with Dual core 8GB ram for the last 10 years."
"Nagios Core is stable."
"It has made the life of the network operations staff more proactive in managing the resources of the infrastructure. It prevents disasters long before they can take place."
"The most valuable features are the reports and the way it generates the report in a graphical manner."
"What I like about Nagios Core is that it helps me ensure everything is running smoothly by checking the status of hosts and services."

Cons

"Some manual administrative tasks still need to be triggered manually, leading to lower efficiency."
"It would be beneficial if the tool offered a less expensive subscription as it is currently costly for our clients."
"Some manual administrative tasks still need to be triggered manually, leading to lower efficiency."
"Nagios Core does not have a graphic display."
"I would like to see a sensor that shows the traffic of a user and what they're doing on the network."
"Nagios Core could improve by adding a user interface. If you want the user interface you have to use Nagios XI."
"It is a bit slow due to latency."
"I would like to see more training videos."
"We're using the free version, which limits us in terms of the things that we can do. If we had the paid version, a lot of our issues would probably go away. For example, we can't isolate instances that are being built or updated with the production ones. When they're being built, on Nagios, they're showing in red. It'd be nice to be able to partition those off until they're all green, and then we can bring them into the environment. This is probably because we've got the free version and not the paid version. If we went for the paid version, it would probably allow us to do exactly what we want to or remove the restrictions that we have, but if we are able to isolate instances in the free version, it would make life much easier."
"Would benefit from aggregations if a particular server goes down."
"The tool needs to improve the integrations."
