Has out of the box features , which is good for companies that don't want to spend too much time on research
I've noticed a few UI issues. For example, when monitoring services and tasks, sometimes the tasks keep disconnecting. If you open the shell in HashiCorp Nomad using the exit button, it often disconnects, and you have to log in again. Sometimes, when I check the logs in the UI for microservices tasks, I encounter an issue where the logs are not visible. However, if I log in again after some time, refresh the page, or check a different container, the logs usually appear. These logs are being generated, as I can see them being shipped to my LogView. I'm not sure if this is a product issue or something related to our deployment, but I've noticed it.

Centralized platform has simplified multi-cluster management and standardized Kubernetes operations
One of the best features of Rafay Kubernetes Operations Platform is its centralized multi-cluster management, allowing me to manage clusters from a single platform instead of managing each cluster separately. Another useful feature is role-based access control, which allows teams to securely access clusters without sharing all the kubeconfig files. I found its integration with GitOps and CI/CD pipelines very helpful for automating application deployments, and observability dashboards provide lifecycle management, policy, and governance across hybrid and multi-cloud environments such as VMware, AWS, and cloud platforms. These features are what I appreciate about Rafay Kubernetes Operations Platform. GitOps made our deployment process much more consistent. Instead of making manual changes directly on the cluster, we kept our Kubernetes manifest in Git. Whenever there was a change, it went through version control, allowing us to easily track who changed what and roll back if needed. Observability dashboards were helpful for day-to-day monitoring, enabling us to quickly check cluster health, node status, resource utilization, and running workloads. If an application team reported an issue, the dashboard provided a quick overview of the cluster before we started troubleshooting with kubectl or checking pod logs. This is the impact of the GitOps integration and observability. Overall, Rafay Kubernetes Operations Platform has simplified Kubernetes management by bringing cluster provisioning, access control, monitoring, and application management into one platform. It saved time, reduced manual work, and made managing multiple clusters much more efficient.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"You could get most of HashiCorp Nomad's features from other microservice orchestrators like Kubernetes. The tool's advantage is its ease of use and integration with services like Envoy. With Kubernetes, you must think about many things, like UI integration, which vault to use, and how to discover the service. With the tool, many things come out of the box, making it easy to start. For example, using the Ingress proxy with the tool is quite easy, while it's trickier with Kubernetes."
"If you face an issue with an image during deployment, the solution will automatically revert to the last stable image."
"One thing I personally appreciate about Rafay Kubernetes Operations Platform is that it is open source, so we do not need to pay anything to any vendor or anyone."
"Overall, Rafay Kubernetes Operations Platform has simplified Kubernetes management by bringing cluster provisioning, access control, monitoring, and application management into one platform, saving time, reducing manual work, and making managing multiple clusters much more efficient."
"I have seen a return on investment, with key benefits including fast deployment cycles, improvement in security and management, reduced downtime, and improved time spent on cluster management."
"Rafay Kubernetes Operations Platform has positively impacted our organization by increasing overall productivity as a team because we are a big team with many people working on Kubernetes clusters on different public clouds."

Cons

"I've noticed a few UI issues. For example, when monitoring services and tasks, sometimes the tasks keep disconnecting. "It would be good to have a UI interface so that developers could receive notifications for jobs in a bad state."
"I have noticed a weak side in Rafay Kubernetes Operations Platform as Kubernetes does not have any single dashboard point, requiring manual deployment, whereas OpenShift has their own console, which is something Kubernetes should improve."
"If I had to suggest improvements, I would say better product documentation, more detailed troubleshooting information in the UI, and more customizable dashboards would make it even easier to use, especially for new users learning Rafay Kubernetes Operations Platform."
"Rafay Kubernetes Operations Platform should have lower licensing costs for smaller organizations like mine, and it could integrate third-party tools as well."
"From a normal point of view, most things are good with Rafay Kubernetes Operations Platform, but I think there is a bit of a learning curve for new users unfamiliar with the platform, as it sometimes takes time to understand what exactly we are doing there and how everything works."
