Kunjal Haria - PeerSpot reviewer
Stable, easy to scale, and has anti-spam and anti-spyware features, but support needs to be faster and more knowledgeable
I've contacted Forcepoint Email Security support, but I'm not satisfied with the answer speed. It could be a lot faster. I also get more answers on the internet than from the technical support team, so Forcepoint Email Security needs more knowledgeable support. On a scale of one to five, my rating for the technical support of Forcepoint Email Security is three.

Provides strong data protection with virtual patching and vulnerability assessments
I primarily use it to monitor database access, particularly in banking and similar environments. It ensures that IT personnel and others do not create unauthorized accounts or users. Collaboration security assists in tracking database access and alerts in case of suspicious activity One of the…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"All of the filtering features are very nice."
"The filtering of the solution is very good. You can do URL filtering and, while you need a custom URL to filter under other solutions like Symantec, here the solution covers most categories and the database."
"We have found the product to be stable."
"The Forcepoint Email Security roadmap easily integrates with the data loss prevention (DLP) suite of Forcepoint. Therefore, the customer doesn't have to buy another solution for DLP."
"I like how versatile the options are. For example, we can set it where we are able to access and browse Facebook but we are denied the ability to post photos. There is also that ability integrate with Office 365 - SharePoint app."
"Using Forcepoint, we have created policies and rules for any suspicious mail. It is blocked and only released by an admin's approval."
"Unlike other competitors, it doesn't cause any performance issues."
"This is a reasonably stable solution."
"One of the most valuable features is the protection against vulnerabilities, particularly through virtual patching."
"FireEye Email Security is easy to use."
"What I find most valuable with the solution is that it can integrate with cloud solutions, such as Google and Microsoft. Additionally, the solution is easy to use."
"Before installing, consider potential challenges with system performance, especially when integrating multiple tools, which could slow down performance."
"Trellix Collaboration Security is valued for being a stable and comprehensive solution that fulfills customer needs."
"The auto-remediation feature is valuable."
"We have had very good results from the use of FireEye Email Security. We are very comfortable with this technology, but I don't know if it's necessary to move into the cloud, we will check other technologies and study them. Additionally, the solution has good integration."
"The product protects my email."

Cons

"Forcepoint is the best for DLP, but it is not better than other solutions in terms of phishing emails or threat protections on the email. It has less visibility over there. They might need to enhance these components because other solutions, such as Cisco Email Security and IronPort, have more advanced features. Forcepoint should focus more on threats and spam. They have a small database for spam. They must increase their solution's capability from this perspective."
"It's quite difficult to learn this solution, it's not an entry level product. If you are a skilled user you will think it's a very useful tool, but if you are not a skilled user, you'll think it is very difficult to learn."
"Customer support could be better."
"Technical support is lacking. It could be a lot better."
"I would like to see some improvement like cloud application and integration capabilities and the classification part is missing from the DLP."
"Forcepoint Email Security is stable, but it could be improved."
"We've fixed a couple of issues on the solution so far. It doesn't work perfectly all the time."
"This solution could be improved by providing further functionality to reduce or to block ransom attacks, cross-site scripting and man-in-the-middle attacks."
"FireEye needs single sign-on. They say it's on their roadmap. They should also implement support for Microsoft Authenticator app for 2FA."
"The solution is not easy to set up. However, we have employees that have the knowledge that can do the difficult implementation. It would be better if the process was easier."
"I would like to see this solution become more flexible."
"I would like the solution to be able to automatically quarantine the malicious emails before getting to the user's mailbox and continue with regular email operations. This could result in the user clicking the email before the purge operation is completed."
"Sometimes, integration can be challenging, impacting its stability, which is why I rate it a five out of ten."
"The reporting aspect of the solution needs improvement."
"The custom tailoring is limited."
"In general, our company should make the tool more robust to protect our systems."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"My company pays for Forcepoint Email Security licensing annually."
"There are three types of support licenses."
"When compared to other email security solutions, the price is not cheap."
"Licensing is a yearly subscription that is based on the number of users."
"The licensing is user base (per user). The product is purchased mostly by medium to large companies. For smaller companies, we have other solutions because the pricing is not cheap."
"Its licensing is quite easy and straightforward. They have two or three suites, and the price is negotiable. It depends upon the size of the deal. They have multiple licenses. The standard is one, and then there are additional licenses that you can go for. There are three or four licensing models. You have the network suite, endpoint suite, email security, and the standard one."
"The cost is very high."
"The solution requires a license to be purchased for every user."
"I rate the product price as nine out of ten, where ten is the most expensive, and one is the cheapest. There is no need to pay any extra charges apart from the licensing costs."
"The licensing is on a yearly basis."
